The idea being that hopefully the skins would be featured on a server with air racing :) I have started off with the 109 Here is a fictional, Gulf Oil sponsored 109 named 'Oil Fiend'. Will post more soon [updated] Here is the second 109, named Meine Roten Kopf. [Fictional] Story behind this plane is that it was originally a restoration project for the Sinsheim Autotechnik Museum. The plane was restored with the engine work being carried out by Mercedes AMG. The museum only wanted to make it a static display and the owner wanted to keep her in flying condition, this led to the owner keeping the aircraft and campaigning it at Reno and other events. Sinsheim Autotechnik stayed on was a major sponsor of the aircraft. Starting with the 109 and then doing the rest of the prop planes. Shahdoh Posted December 21, 2014 Share Posted December 21, 2014 Interesting that you bring this up. I will be starting up an air racing series in 2015. We will be using the Tf51 though for various reasons. The series will consist of 1 race a month across 6 different race courses. Many have seen my race courses on the Virtual Aerobatics server. I'm going to be working on some P51/TF51 liveries for this pack too. Sad that their isn't a mixed 'Unlimited' class, but it would probably be a bit unbalanced in DCS. Shahdoh Posted December 21, 2014 Share Posted December 21, 2014 Yeah, I want it to be more on the pilot then the aircraft, and with the fixed modeling in DCS, everyone would just gravitate to whatever ended up being fastest on the courses. Though the different aircraft have courses they perform better at then another, I don't have the time to do the balance testing needed to make it fair across the board. The TF51 has multiple advantages for the series. 1st off- its free to everyone, 2nd, its a professional flight model and what I like most about it, it takes skill and knowledge of the aircraft to make it perform at its peak. Push it to hard and it will break. Looking to be making an official notice on the series and further details at least by the 1st week in January. I will check the download when I get home from work. Hoping to get back into this at some point, update these skins and add a couple more (got a 190 too) Very busy at the moment though so isn't currently a priority.
