Spudknocker
This is a quick guide to show the basics of the Mission Editor in DCS World. The mission editor is a very complex piece of software and can be used for the most simple of flights to the most complex. This guide will cover the basics of setting up a simple combat mission and can be both scaled up and scaled down for more or less complex scenarios. This mission is a self-escorted strike mission against a communications bunker on Greater Tunb Island and shows step by step how to make a fun and engaging mission! Part 2 will cover flying the mission to test what we have created in the mission editor and then fixing any issues we may find within the mission! bailey.e1hotmail.com
I have been attempting to place active aircraft (NOT STATIC OBJECTS) on a aircraft carrier deck, for takeoff and landing practice. My installation will not display the model ,i.e, deck layout; also I cannot zoom in to see the deck. I have tried a number of solutions including: 1) Updating DCS 2) Repairing DCS 3) Using the SHOW MODEL icon ,i.e, small tank image 4) Modifying the missioneditor.lue file by: _ removing comment out symbol (--) in --test_topdown_view_models =true, line and reinstating the comment symbol. Absolutely nothing seems to helps, can anyone assist with this issue ? Any help would be very much appreciated. Many thanks E Bailey bailey.e1@hotmail.com
