Using two Joysticks in cockpit

Every since I started taking lessons in the Gazelle, I've used the small joystick or hat switch on the warthog throttle to control the TV camera.

Worked ok.

During my flight with Poly Roie, he mentioned he made a button/joystick box to use in VR.

This got me thinking. I dug out a old CH Fighter Stick, Let windows install it, and tried it out in the Gazelle.

I assigned the TV camera to the axes of the stick.

My TV controls work perfect! They work so well, that I assigned all the WSO controls to the stick, along with a few video command box/weapon commands. I love it in VR! Use my left hand to operate it as well. Seems more authentic.:smilewink:

Its a little large for my space but I may have to make room, or mod the stick by changing the base. I'd eventually want to solid mount it, maybe make a extension on the side of the throttle.

Perhaps Shapeways could make a replica handle.:music_whistling:

Any one else find a good solution or option?

I preparest my aircraft to receive the Iron that will be delivered in the presence of my enemies. Thy ALCM and JDAM they comfort me. Power was given unto the aircrew to make peace upon the world by way of the sword. And when the call went out, Behold the "Sword of Stealth". And his name was Death. And Hell followed him. For the day of wrath has come and no mercy shall be given."

I'm using TMWH for main controls, TMTFHX for Vivianne, although I do have CHFSP I'm keeping it for main controls in case TMWH fails for some reason (always !! with TMWH)...

But yeah I agree.. You can also use it for video making doing wonders with the camera if you don't have TIR4/5

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

I'd been using the mini-joystick on the CH Pro Throttle as well as the top hat switch for the finer movements. It seemed to work well. Then I was informed you could use your main stick when you were in seat 2! I had no idea! I've been flying multi-crew and it's made a big difference, but maybe a really simple joystick, made for either hand, would be a good replacement/addition?
