CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.

It should be 144.45mm.

Dont know why it says inches. It says mm in my drawings.

So a heads up to all then:

The backplate should be 146.05 mm wide and the acrylic plate should be 144,45mm

I am converting the panels to DXF as we speak. So they should all be uploaded soon.

Thank you Lynx!

If you want there is no problem for me working together on the panels, so the cockpit builder community can get the best panels possible with the information we are sitting on.

I can see many guys have looked at my drawings and that's what they are for.

Really hope they will get to use.

If you guys see some errors with the panels, please report back so I can adjust and correct the panels as soon as possible.

I have already cut some your panels. I think the results are great! Thanks again!

I was quietly waiting for your CMSP. I already have my old CMSP in pieces waiting for a new home!

Looks like my old panels did not have correct height so I want to start at the top of the consoles and work my way down to get the spacing correct.

Thanks

Clay

CMSP and the CDU are now released.

The keys and knobs will be released as a stp. file later.

I think it will be best to have them 3D printed, sanded for a nice finish and if people bother, make a cast of them.

ClayM; could you please post some pictures of the result so far?`

Thanks for the positive feedback guys.

I will start on the panels myself after completing my 6DOF motion platform (around Desember)

I have started taking pictures and documentation from the building progress and will create a new thread when the build is done if you guys are interested.

In the meanwhile I will continue to improve the panels from the feedback I get.

Thanks for the pictures ClayM. It looks very good IMO. Keep up the good work.

I have to say that the holes for the switches are made for Honeywell switches that I will use in my build. they can easily be edited to match your own toggle switches, same with the dimensions on displays etc.

Please continue posting pictures!

Couple of things with "EW" panel

Third system switch should be RWR? Probably just a typo right

Are you fairly sure the JTSN switch has an OFF label? I dont know myself but I have seen some examples without it. I think it is a momentary switch. Having the "off" label kind of doesn't make sense IMHO. Just asking thats all.

Thanks

The Third switch label obviously should be RWR .

(There are many examples of the EWMU/CMSP on line)

Yes The JTSN switch has an off label.

In some picture on the web it is covered

by the switch being in the off position.

I would love to see your examples .

The panel I have happens to be a photo etch panel

and is labeled serial #1 so it would be reasonable

that all of the panels have an off label.

The switch is not momentary it is a JTSN switch 8856K7 MS21027C231

That means it is locked in the off position.

It must be pulled out to move to the JTSN position.

It must be pushed back in to the off position

It is not locked in the JTSN position.

You can find a fairly complete listing of left and right console switches in my build thread if you can find it just PM me and I will re post it in my build thread.

Thanks for quick change! Now my work begins....

DM

Thanks for the clarification! I searched your thread and found your switch info. Thanks for that as well. I have spent many, many hours on this forum and I'm amazed by how much valuable info is buried inside some big threads!
