Extranajero
They have a Youtube page The stick gimbal was made on a manual mill, you can see from the machining marks on the surface, so it's probably a one off or part of a small batch. It looks VERY nicely put together. In fact it all looks well made and designed. --------------------------------------------------------- PC specs:- Intel 386DX, 2mb memory, onboard graphics, 14" 640x480 monitor Modules owned:- Bachem Natter, Cessna 150, Project Pluto, Sopwith Snipe
Bullant
I haven't seen much except some very realistic renders and a photo of a hand holding a metal stick grip ( the real one being made from resin ) The first post in this thread links to two other threads that are chock full of photos: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=236458 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=235433 Also both the stick and throttle are listed as full metal construction, not resin. Waxer
Also both the stick and throttle are listed as full metal construction, not resin. His point is that the real life sticks fitted to F/A-18Cs are resin. Therefore just because the replicas are made of metal does not make them good. And on that I agree. Resin would have been even better, but presumably much more expensive to do at equal quality to what Boeing is specifying for their aircraft. However cheap brittle plastic is far worse, so on that measure metal is likely to be a lot more sturdy so long as the gimbal is designed for that kind of weight. (Which it clearly will be). Bullant
His point is that the real life sticks fitted to F/A-18Cs are resin. Gotcha, I read "real ones" as "production items". I'm happy with all metal, as you said as long as the supporting infrastructure is designed to handle it, but it looks as though it is. Lao Fei Mao
Good job。AFAIK, The gimbal is actually their third design, quite delicate, more balance and stable at the center even if you use a longer extension, and won't easily get a deviation after wearing. BTW, full metal is awesome.

Waxer
Winwing: what can be done about your website? I will find it a deal breaker to conduct a financial transaction / give financial information over a non https website. Is this being handled by a third party or are you upgrading your website to provide a secure connection? FYI: I notice today that their website now has an https connection. DragonFlySlayer
Yeah... I would like to see some real reviews ranging from ability to program in Direct X and how it does overall. It's impressive on sight. I pre-ordered my TM FA18 Stick. My Warthog throttle cover's the base just fine. So for $700.00 approximate dollars I want to see some videos from some real Hornet Jockeys. I'm still wondering if TM's gonna make a FA18 Throttle system? It would take long time as they did with the stick cause they were dancing with Boeing. Waxer
Patience young padawan. Wingwing said that videos for grip and throttle are coming. Preorder obviously opens at the end of the day tomorrow, but goes for a few weeks. So there is still plenty of time for them to post additional details while still giving you time to preorder and get the 12.5% pre order discount. clayvt
Stick gimbal video posted today. I just upgraded to a warthog setup and kinda wishing I had waited for these. The only concern I had was these being able to be used with my monster tech chair mounts. Oh well. I need to upgrade my GPU and grab a 3rd gen Ryzen CPU before I spend more $ on this sort of thing.
