Hawk6201
As it says in the title, when was the last flight of the Ka-50 and how many are remaining to this day? Also where are they? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Lucas_From_Hell
They're all in Torzhok, the centre for what used to be Army aviation (now incorporated into the Aerospace Forces). There's no specific information, but the vague and little I could find suggests the 16 or so remaining units are still in active use.

I hope you are right, that thing looks too good to be retired. :D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Emu
Looking back at old literature, did people use to think they were Ka-34s or something?

Emu
I have no information about that. I found Ka-34 referenced in an old military journal and it also seems to be the nomenclature used in scale modelling. It also brings up the Ka-50 on a Google search. https://www.amazon.com/ESCI-9073-Kamov-KA-34-Hokum/dp/B008R9U3SU
