Hello everybody.

A friend of mine has an issue with his Vive. Its hard to explain, thats why I just post his images here. may be someone knows somethings about it.

those illuminated interferences are coming up roundabout 30 seconds after he´s getting ingame. The color of the light appears in different colors. Sometimes green, sometimes orange, but mostley white.

The issue wasnt present from the very first start in VR, he told me that he flew roundabout 5 hours without any issues.

DCS is the only VR Game where this issue appears.

His PC specs:

i7 7700k,

32gb ddr4,

gtx 1080ti 11gb ddr5,

game installed on hdd

He registered an account but is still waiting for his permission to post. He´ll be around then to answer question (if any comes up). I´d forward them to him meanwhile.

Thanks for your reply.

The Problem is that he runs DCS via steam and not Standalone. Is there a way to delete/alter those specific shader files manually and run a steam repair afterwards?

Shaders/FXO should get recreated automatically. He can always back it up and give it a shot by deleting the folders. It's in C:\users\USER_NAME\SAVED GAMES folder. It may be different for Steam, but I wouldn't know as I don't use STEAM.

Issue seems to be solved.

He had his Piceldensity set to 2 (Monster rig) and by reducing back to 1.7 the issue disappeared and since then does not came back again...so I´d say that this isse is solved.

EDIT:

not 2, but 2.5 so max Pixeldensity caused the issue. I've tested it on my Rift and it did not caused that problem, thus I consider it a Vive related Problem. Its reproducable by the way, we've tested it with another one who owns the Vive and it caused the same Artefact/issue/whatever as well.
