Shouldnt start time be -100? to have -100 -> 0 -> 100

I've been using individual EDMs for different LODs.

It should. The downside is that you must re-export to change lod values instead modifying the corresponding .lods file

hi to all

i am new to this section so i hope i not going to hard with u

 

i download a full free 3dmax model of the bell212

and i stuck on the matirial secton

 

"Now we need to assign the custom material type using the ED Plugins. Open the Material Editor by

pressing the “M” key on the keyboard. Once this is open, click “Utilities” (hammer icon) in the upper

right, then click on “EDModelTool”, then click “Make Cool”. You will notice that a new area has

appeared in the Material Editor"

 

i not see any new matirial appeared after MAKE COOL

also whan i tray to seve the model in EDM format i recives alots of error

i gos the errors are becouse i not set the matirial

 

any one can help?

Try this:

Close Material Editor,

CTRL+A to Select All meshes,

Then Click Make Cool,

Then Open Material Editor.

Try this:

Close Material Editor,

"Make Cool" has nothing to do with parts/meshes. It changes the material currently selected. Every material in the scene needs to have "Make Cool" applied to give the material ED's custom properties, otherwise it will not export.

whre i can found some more info about it and how to convert my model to EDM

 

i read alot in the last days but start to see its going to be a realy long way

i download a ready 3dmodel i found over the internet for free

than i open it in 3d max

but now i not figer how to progress even after long tutorials reading

 

i realy like to lurn this section of the sim but cant figer out how to start

If the Model uses Post Production Shaders on the Materials (ie Mental Ray, RayTracer), then it will not export.

 

What's the source of the Model? I'll take a look at it

I've always been able to select meshes and hit the make cool button and any material applied to those meshes is made cool.

Like I said... if the model has post production shaders in it's materials it will not export.

Find and remove the custom shader, or Clear the Materials and Re-Build them
