Australasian region, The Flying Kiwis.

Looks like we are trying to scrape together as many helo pilots as we can for this weekends mission. It is a helicopter assault on Shiraz airfield as part of a mini campaign we have been running and we need max helo pilots!

If your in the Australasian region and love a good long range helicopter mission in a somewhat organized formation with somewhat organized goals and plans please jump in.

For these missions we usually get around 25 plus on a password protected server, so if you want to be a part of some really epic and massive missions come and say hi and dive right in.

Helos available this weekend are Hueys, gunship and slicks, Mi-8's, gazelles (L).

This is not the time to be shy, you will miss out.

Hey fellas,

Just wondering if your still recruiting and feel like taking on an old and bald returning sim pilot that’s just starting out in DCS?

Update on what TFK have going on. Our dedicated server is running 3 unique maps that have all modules available on 9 or 13 hour cycles, the maps have an amazing array of targets with kneeboards containing information on all target coordinates, tanker and carrier info etc... All missions are completely randomized with SAM and aircraft threats and have cool features you will not find anywhere else. If you are sick of some of the unfortunate behavior you can often find on public servers you might find an outfit like TFK could be really enjoyable for you, it really is a great bunch of guys. Squadron page now up in the clubs area. The Flying Kiwis - ED Forums (eagle.ru)

We will remain active over the Xmas period running 'Choppa Tuesday', training on Thursdays and our main mission on Sundays, all commencing at 20:00NZ, though with the dedicated server you may find people on there at all times, any day.

This week we are starting TFK fuel school. If you want to practice or learn how to air to air refuel come and get involved. Boom or drogue both will be catered for. Air refueling is a great skill to master, especially when flying in a multiplayer environment when long range missions depend on it, it is a very rewarding experience to see a number of divisions gather on and quickly top everybody up and push on in a expeditious manner. Come and get involved if you want to get this skill routine rather than stressful. Jump on the TFK discord on Thursdays at 20:00NZ.

It's been great to "see" so many new faces on our server and some epic missions that have been made by our very talented and generous mission builder. We've gone from a campaign series, to interdicting dirty bombs to defending fire base Mary Ann from the NVA and the VC.

If you're interested in quality banter, great missions and good laugh with a bunch of Kiwi and Australian Legends, hit us up.

For the last 16 years The Flying Kiwis has been a pretty casual group that has welcomed anyone. Going forward not so much the latter part. We have an amazing core group of about 40 people and our scheduled flight nights we will see 20+ regulars show up and fly. We have looked at what we do, where we are at and how we want to handle potential new members going forward. Basically if you can read the description in the multiplayer server list and can make your way onto our discord channel, jump in and fly you are more than welcome. If you want to camp on our discord channel and just watch and not participate then TFK is not the place for you. We worked out of our core group everyone has spent a shitload of money and time to be able to enjoy this hobby at the level we are flying at, we are not a school, we are not a place for people to live vicariously through us, but again if you can figure out how to jump on our discord and get involved you are more than welcome.

Regular flight nights include:

Choppa Tuesday! starts 20:00NZ

Training on Thursday - various formats including 'Fuel School', Tac form practice, navigation exercises and weapons practice etc... Starts 20:00NZ

Sunday night main mission, a new mission every week incorporating most aircraft types. Starts 20:00NZ

Our dedicated server has unique missions you will not find on any other server.

Ole mate Rhino has put this video together that sums it up pretty well. Enjoy!

Well said Woody!

We'll help anyone... to a point.  You need to arrive with some basic to intermediate skills sorted, or at least be prepared to retain the information and knowledge people take the time to impart to you.

If you're here to try and push Woody to use stupid mods or do what you want before you actually turn up on mission nights and disproportionately chew up our Discord threads while never actually flying - We're not your Huckleberry!

Don't be put off - TFK are very welcoming and fun and there's much to be gained including great mate-ship for those that put the effort in!  We even have a bloke in Louisiana that burns the midnight oil to fly with us.  I couldn't say enough kind words about this group, and we've had some great people come along more recently who have blended in perfectly.

Hi, I live in Rototua and I have been keen on DCS since the Lockon days and started before that with Nova Logic F22L3. I'm looking for a squad to join and have watched this squad for sometime now (Youtube) but the thing for me is the same timeline. I have most of the mods F16, F18, AH64, KA50, Mi8, Gazelle, Huey, F1, Mirage 2000C, A10C II, JF17, off the top of my head right now.

Anyways let me know if, when and how and I'll be there.... Cheers.
