[ALL MODULES][SP/CO-OP] Liberation Dynamic Campaign

Seems if I select the cold/dark cockpit option, and have all flights take off from Al Dhafra , I start in the air with a fully prepped jet?

 

The only situation in which this should happen is when there's not enough parking slots on the airfield. Given how large Al Dhafra is this is probably not the case.

 

Care to specify additional info? Aircraft type, number of other / AI aircraft?

When you forget to check the client box

 

Question.

 

I seem to be forget to check the client box - in that case should i quit mission? When the Liberation engine is waiting for the debriefing, there seems to be no way to abort it and go back.

 

What do you recommend?

Seems to work.

 

Shadow - excellent work. This is sorely needed. Questions and issues.

 

How do you restart the original config box with maps. I want to restart campaign in Persian gulf. Closing and opening liberation just continues with current campaign and config doesn't have a reset.

 

Also a couple of odd behaviors.

 

1. Frontline strike mission in Caucasus from kobuleti creates a huge amount of lag when the armor is spawned. Caused the entire sim to stop and slow to a crawl. Funny thing was there weren't really that many units so not sure why the big impact.

 

2. Multiple armor units spawn in the water. Works out well when its btr80 but no so much for the t80's

 

3. Armor units dont seem to fire on each other. They sort of just pass each other. Doesn't make for very exciting ambiance.

 

4. Cas units dont fire on enemy armor or if they do I cant see it. They don't seem to drop bombs or fire rockets.

 

Is it possible an installation issue is causing this behavior?

Lancerr - I'm finding I'm taking a good 5-10 minutes per mission in the editor tweaking. CAS is one of the missions I add an "engage targets" enroute task.

But - rather do that to these missions than have to make my own!!

(not a moan) ;-)

Oh I see. That's not ideal for sure. I'm going to try and see if I can consistently identify where these issues crop up.

I'm in an AV-8B; I have one wingman and two F-15 escorts. Those are the only planes taking off from Al Dhafra.

Same issue occurs if it's just me and two F-15s.

Same occurs if I am the only aircraft.

 

I know this is an old reply but did you ever figure out what was happening? If not, I think already know what it is; by design, Harriers take off in the air from land no matter what due to the AI being buggy, even if you don't have any AI wingman. I think it is the same for the carriers too.

 

OP might've fixed that and I missed it though

For anyone interested - I will not adding the Tomcat until end of this month since I'm on the business trip and don't have access to my windows PC.

 

On the bright sight apart from the F14 the new update will include lots of new things:

  • Moving map with missions appearing directly on it
  • Ability to start the mission from any airfield or carrier
  • New convoy strike mission type (tailored for the Kamov)
  • Improved stability and lots of bugfixes

It's only on a base attack, and I've already taken a few bases in the campaign.

Have tried a different variety of planes / variables.

With further looking, attacking with ARMOUR from Sukhumi TO Gudauta gives the crash. NO armour = fine.

 

Attacking from Senaki to Kobuleti is fine - with or without armour.

Oh yeah, a plus one. In an update soon how easy would it be to reverse the campaigns? Have the West start in the top left for example.

That's a fairly easy thing to change on the application level, but making a GUI for it would be more time consuming. Although that's a good idea given that players would have to reset the campaign yet again.

Hi, I just translated the application to Spanish (you have to touch several things to translate it completely, but you can) I know that what I propose is a lot of programming work, would extract "All texts to a separate file for each language that is Want to translate (for example, is. txt and there in Spanish, FR. txt and in French, etc...) would have the "advantage " of being able to evolve the application without having to touch translations. Anyway, if you want the 1.4.4 version in Spanish, I can send you where you tell me. Greetings!!!!

 

As a gift, a file bat a little more worked (identifies if there is campaign in progress or not) and gives you the option to start directly or continue the campaign in progress (or delete). Also modifies the size of the CMD to adapt to the menu of the bat

I would like to explore this mission generator, but I can not get a flyable mission generated. A next-mission.miz generates, but has no blue aircraft other than a tanker. Attached screenshot of Mission Menu shows no aircraft units. Something must be wrong. My DCS OB is not in User Saved Games folder, so I modded the start.bat appropriately. Must admit I did not read all 32 pages of this thread.

It seems that you didn't buy any aircraft to fly. You don't have to read 32 pages of the thread but you might want to read the manual.
