CUSTOM TWIN THROTTLE BUILD

Recommended Posts

Well, I got tired of waiting on those "V..." manufacturers and decided to build my own throttle. This one is built like a tank! Loosely based on an F15 with added volume on the left throttle for additional switches.

Mechanism is all welded and machined steel, levers are composite and the base is from Rennshape and aluminum. Still deciding on switch and rotary knob layout for the base and levers. I have a Leo Bodnar board on its way and plan to add the custom rudder pedals and harrier vectoring lever to the single board. Should simplify my USB device management. Paint and weathering will be matched to my pit.

Nice work there.

Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment.

Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above.

More progress on the throttle. Finished wiring up the switches in the throttle handles and now need to wire up the Leo board. I also connected the pots to the levers and everything is ultra precision with no play. Still more switches and details to add to the rear panel. When all is finished, I will add some weathering to match my cockpit.

Finished up phase 1 and everything is working great. Also threw in a CM2 Virpil stick and in love with it. Future plans include more function on the right grip and some details on the lower throttle panel.
