When selecting 82H/L on the MPCDs the bombs always deploy their drag devices, even with different fuzings selected. I believe this should give you the option of dropping hi drag or low drag with retarded munitions.

I recently saw a Matt Wagner F-16 video dealing with delivering Mk 82 retarded bombs, and Wags stated that the fuse configuration would greatly influence whether the Mk 82's with ballute were dropped low or high drag.

IIRC with only nose fuse used, only low drag delivery would be possible. If you want to deploy the ballute (high drag) you have to use nose and tail fusing.

Unfortunately I've never seen a description of what each fusing modus is and how to use them.

I think it was also assumed that if you dropped with low drag, then only from a minimum altitude, so the bomb would be dropping nose first, where high drag deliver might find bombs never coming out of the horizontal attitude.
