Well we are certainly getting Iranian F-4's and F-14's and im sure there will be IRIAF/IIAF F-5 skins on release of the map... Definitely need a P-3 Orion and some Chinese MiG-21 copies (F-7/J-7)

Im excited for this map gives us a chance to play the baddies while still flying some classic western jets!

Also could be pretty cool to fly an IIAF Sabre over the gulf in the 60's!

F-7/J-7 s are based in omidiyeh AFB as scramble planes, So they probably not gonna appear over Persian Gulf or atleast SOH a lot. but well, it would be nice to have their AI in dcs

I'm not much of an f-5 expert but, I think they do this to prevent FOD during taxi phase, and these covers will be removed before entering runway (can't approve if it's the right thing to do, just explaining my guess). also found this in dcs f-5e manual which explains how air is provided to the engines while those covers are on:

Auxiliary (aux) intake doors on each side of the fuselage above the wing trailing edge provide additional air to the engines for added thrust during takeoff and low-speed flight (low dynamic pressure). The doors are automatically controlled by a signal from the central air data computer (CADC). An aux intake doors indicator on the instrument panel provides an indication of closed, intermediate, or open position of the doors. Aux Intake Doors Indicator During engine start, the auxiliary intake doors open after each individual generator comes on the line (48 % rpm). After takeoff, the doors close at approximately Mach 0.4 (255 ± 10 KIAS). During descent and landing pattern entry, the doors open at approximately Mach 0.375 (235 ± 5 KIAS). Upon loss of AC power, the doors move to closed position as the doors are spring-loaded closed and actuated open.
