hitman
This is a brilliant film, I watched it as a young teenager and can still remember the gist of it (and the futility of war). Also, nobody mentioned The Longest Day. I haven't seen that in a long time, but it is a classic and shouldn't be left out. D-Day. Can anybody give any WW1 films? There have been a fair few, very poigniant as well. Just can't think of any off the top of my head. Oh, also another classic, about the commando/intelligence raid to destroy the Norweigian-based facility the Nazis used to create 'heavy water'.. Can't recall the name... Any ideas folks? fly boys. 159_Archer
Lots of good films mentioned here so far! Here's one to see if you love good actors and a 'pressure-cooker' atmosphere; The Hill http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hill_%28film%29 -it is about soldiers and it is set in WW2, just not about actually fighting (not one gun in the whole film, IIRC). Sticky
Sorry for using this thread for this, but its not completely off topic. I need the name of a movie I havent seen for many years. Tried google and IMDB but since I dont remember any of the actors in it I couldnt find it. Its a movie about a US aggressor pilot flying a kfir plane (F-21?) and goes crazy and takes the plane on a crazy suicide (carrying a nuke if I remember correctly) mission. Does anyone know the name of this movie? I would love to see it again, but cant without a name LOL. Thanks! 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] My Sim/Game CV: Falcon 1,3,4. Gunship. A10 TankKiller. Fighter Bomber.
