gemballa974
And you are sure that you have the right Laser code set?. So the Bombs and the Jtac use the same laser code. It is most probably the reason why it doesn't work. Another reason might be the kind of JTAC used to lase the target, I don't have DCS to check the name, I tried a HUMMVEE and an Infantery and both failed to guide my bomb. More suspicious, I can't prevent them from attacking the target eventhough I defined the rule of engagement to not engage. Once again, if it works for someone else it means I'm doing something wrong with the mission editor (I'm not very good with the mission editor ). By the way, I use the caucasus map, not the NTTR, that might be a reason since the state of update is different according the version of DCS used. This is how i create a basic JTAC mission with the F-5E 1. Create CAS mission With desired aircraft. 2. Put Hummvee TOW only down in enemy territory. Then do the following. Put targets down nearby Hummvee TOW. For noobs put down somewhere near an airfield or location that you can roughly see it. Then selecting advance waypoints for Hummvee TOW as follows in order. 1. EPLRS on. 2. Go invisible. 3. ROE = Weapon hold. Even though it is invisible and wont get shot. It seems to need this to fire laser. 4. FAC and assign group, Weapon as Auto then for guided bombs use laser designation. Then 5. Click on your aircraft and make sure Radio frequency in aircraft is set same as the FAC ie 133 AM or 131 AM. Set it in advanced waypoints section. 6. Make sure Target is defined as new group 001 not new group 002 etc. (Important as re editing mission can change group numbers later edits). Dont know if it works for the M2000C but give it a shot. Last 2 JTAC calls will be to Confirm IP inbound THEN you confirm THEN laser on by confirming that. Finally make sure bombs armed and ready then you're good to shallow dive and release. Edited October 27, 2017 by Bewsher

ac5
Using easy communications the JTAC always respond.. the problem is not that, the problem is that following the suggestions AND the instructions of CHUCK TO THE LETTER, the gbu - 12's with the Mirage almost never hit the target. With the F-5 I do exactly the same, and I always hit, no problem at all! ac5
Hi all, I have found the problem.... One has to set the marker BEFORE the target, abour 500 meters or so, and then, even under 6000 Ft. the GBU's hit most of the time. ESAc_matador
You have to drop before the target so the bomb has time to get the proper angle to see the laser.

The Legman
I can't get this to work on the Mirage, and with other modules it works flawlessly. I know how to set up a JTAC been doing that forever to try bombing, but just in case, i tried following Chuck's to the letter, which is actually the same and my GBU-12s land where i put my marker (marked with the AG designation) and never "lock" on the JTAC laser which is on. I am aware that it might have some delay, etc etc but i don't manage to get it bombed. Not even putting it a bit before the target as this thread suggests. This is on 1.5.4. Raven68
I struggled with this in the beginning following Chuck's tutorials and other steps, which were all pretty much in line. JTAC would always come back with "no mark" for lasing. I then realized that JTAC had to be at a higher elevation and clear line of sight. After I figured that out everything fell in place and bombs fell on target. :) Intel i5-9600K @ 3.7GHz Gigabyte Z370XP SLI Mobo G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 2070 8GB 256-Bit GDDR6(Assume the latest driver version) Thermaltake Water 3.0 Certified Liquid Cooling System Windows 10 Professional Oculus Rift-S /TrackIR 5 in case VR dies Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog w/ Thrustmaster T-Flight Rudder Pedals

Raven68
does anyone know the maximum range for JTAC lasing ? I seen the advance waypoint setting as 5 miles. If it's outside of that the text becomes orange and it won't let you specify the group to lase. ruddy122
GBU12 + JTAC Lasing is a little tricky I put the JTAC almost right next to the target and make sure it's immortal and invisible Quick note unarmed Humvees will not laser designate. I use a Humvee from the Armor category and I have no problems lasing the target Going to try this weekend if my JTAC can lase 3-5 Km out to make it a little more realistic Still trying to figure out how to launch more than one GBU but I'll keep studying the manual and Chuck's guide Happy flying Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited November 24, 2016 by ruddy122 Spelling errors [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] LUCKY:pilotfly::joystick: Computer Specs CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 6-Core 3.4 GHz| GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 6Gb | RAM: 32 GB DDR4 @ 3000 MHz | OS: Win 10 64 bit | HD: 500 Gb SSD
