JG14_Smil
Typo bug, Silverbow RSBN (Tonopah). { display_name = _('Silverbow'); beaconId = 'airfield18_9'; type = BEACON_TYPE_RSBN; callsign = 'TQQ'; frequency = 829000000.0; channel = 29; position = { -227436.906250, 1689.104961, -174559.000000 }; direction = -24.171670; positionGeo = { latitude = 37.790475, longitude = -116.779233 }; ---sceneObjects = {'t:209715232'}; }; This RSBN shared channel 28 with Creech. I changed Silverbow to channel 29. I did not update the posted file with this, so let me know if you would like the new version.
JG14_Smil
Please note: Groom Lake ILS has a line up issue and does not work correctly yet. Trying to find out why. Flying around testing takes time as I fly online. If you should see any bugs, please let me know.
JG14_Smil
Groom Lake bug found and squashed. Shared frequency caused PRMG to line up with the RSBN. Changing PRMG channel to 19 makes it work perfectly. { display_name = _('Groom Lake 32 PRMG 20'); beaconId = 'airfield2_3'; type = BEACON_TYPE_PRMG_GLIDESLOPE; callsign = 'GML'; frequency = 819000000.0; channel = 19; position = { -290061.156250, 1369.163234, -86409.328125 }; direction = 156.426864; positionGeo = { latitude = 37.220000, longitude = -115.787349 }; --sceneObjects = {'t:93585410'}; }; { display_name = _('Groom Lake 32 PRMG 20'); beaconId = 'airfield2_4'; type = BEACON_TYPE_PRMG_LOCALIZER; callsign = 'GML'; frequency = 819000000.0; channel = 19; position = { -286660.593750, 1357.831924, -87720.343750 }; direction = 156.426878; positionGeo = { latitude = 37.250797, longitude = -115.801637 }; --sceneObjects = {'t:194117769'}; chartOffsetX = 4269.000000; }; This makes me wonder if some RSBN frequencies are incorrect and thus not giving proper RSBN Glideslope. Will look into that.. Have not updated the file with this as it is an easy edit. PM me if you need me to post the new file.
msalama
Smil - thanks for everything, top notch work, but why not release this as a mod when everything's working? Oodles of folks not necessarily following this thread would surely appreciate it I'm sure :) The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of. JG14_Smil
Yeah, I know.. I'm sorry about that. I guess I was hoping for some help testing. There is a lot to cover. I'll take the file down.
Anatoli-Kagari9
Just out of curiosity - can the glidepath angle be adjusted, or does it always assume 3º ? Flight Simulation is the Virtual Materialization of a Dream...

JG14_Smil
I've been trying everything I can think of to adjust both the RSBN glideslope and PRMG but no luck. Some approaches are very low, for example, North Las Vegas. RSBN glidepaths are not safe! Use PRMG. I had some poor weather, good focus and very good luck. Attached file is 100% tested. If it doesn't work and switches are correct, fly higher as you do not have radio line of sight (LOS). It contains two txt files that can be printed (use minimum margins). These list all available frequencies, ID's and Morse codes. lua file has all features from the original modder. I'm afraid I just don't know who it was. Many thanks to them. No bugs. See message 87 for file. Edited June 30, 2017 by JG14_Smil file is in
msalama
I'll take the file down. Please don't! I misunderstood your comment about PMing the file to someone and thought you're only going to distribute it on a limited basis and hence my suggestion of releasing it as a public mod. Sorry about the confusion mate! EDIT: + thanks for the file, downloading now The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of. JG14_Smil
Anyone know of any approach plates for the NTTR that could be edited for use with the L-39 and these beacons? I would love to know the proper flight paths to use.
