Su27 tracking capabilities

Hey guys, i've never flown the su27, so i've got a question: Can the 27 support more than a single 73ER in flight at one time?

You mean R-27 missile family and not the R-73 short range IR seeker missile?

 

Our Su-27 is the original first serial production variant, Su-27S.

And it doesn't have capability support multiple SARH missiles. Even the R-77 active missile support was added in next versions.

 

Su-27 does with newer version radar support multiple SARH missiles guidance simultaneously to two or four targets depending is the radar mechanically or electronically scanning and what is the targets distance from each others.

If missile would be R-27AE or R-77 that both are active seekers, then guidance is for 4-8 targets simultaneously regardless their spread.

 

But for Su-27S and Su-33 in DCS, it is one tracked target only.

 

But you will learn how to use IR versions while fighting with multiple targets simultaneously, as you can suppress enemies and keep pushing through them while controlling 2-3 targets same time.
