I have a problem with the Modelviewer (DCS; World stock version, no downloaded).

 

If I intent see 3D models into the ..Bazar/World/Shapes directory, no problem to see the shape + texture mounted (new B20 rocket launcher 1.2.10)

The problem coming with the new Core Mods directory or some updated cockpits (UH-1, Mi-8, Su-33), textures not show, not mounted or missing.

I have a problem with the Modelviewer (DCS; World stock version, no downloaded).

 

You have to add the mount_vfs_texture_paths to the

/DCS World/Config/ModelViewer/autoexec.lua

last week I started going over the F-100D external, and decided to re-start converting the original again, due to "learning" DCS, alot of stuff was just not up to standards I wanted.

 

I'm just now realizing how many things I was doing wrong, lol.

 

I think I need to also update my Max Plugin to get the latest Material Settings and stuff.

I can install the EDM plugin in 3ds max 2014, but not for the 3ds max Desgin 2014th

Is there a way this also 3ds max design to install. I have only 3DS Max Design.

What the hell! I tried several standalone ModelViewer installation....Always the same error: ed_api.dll missing. Evend ModelViewer.exe in DCS folder doesn't start! Is there anything working fine?

Thanks for head up luckybob9...but there is a doubt on my mind:

- ModelViewer bundled version with the Simulator doesn't work (at least in my installation...did it three times), so the only way to run Modelviewer is toi install standalone. As standalone I can just install builds before 76639....so, I never will have to upgrade to new versions...for what are deployed latest builds? Is ed_api.dll missing file impossible to include in MV, is it a secret file?

Thanks for feedback joey45...it fixed the bundled ModelViewer issue. I saw that file before but, honestly, I didn't think it could fix the issue since in the batch file there is just a line pointing to the bin\Modelviewer.exe file...so I thought there was no difference then starting ModelViewer.exe from Windows Explorer....mah! Weird....

you can see a smoothing problem :(

 

i have no idea why 3ds max does not smooting well, while sometimes does :dunno:

 

do you know guys how to "force" the smooth in 3ds max ?

create an edit poly modifier apply smoothing and collapse? or a smoothing modifier.

 

DCS also has a shading issue that looks exactly like that when light hits a surface at a low angle, it looks unsmoothed (any model in the game), you may have it as well.
