New build PC migration

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have my DCS on a separate SSD (Fdrive) but I am now upgrading my system to include a new MB, CPU, RAM and SSD.(Cdrive) and fresh Win10.

Can I just plug my Fdrive with DCS on it into my new system and let Windows sort it out or will I have to do a clean install of DCS?

Cheers.

AMD Ryzen 7 2700x, Asus 470ROG MB, 32GB Vengeance 3200 DDR4 RAM, GTX 1070 GPU, Samsung evo850 1TB SSD, HTC VIVE. Warthog, Trackir.:

You can do that ... just remember to deactivate the starforce-protected modules prior to moving the drive to the new PC.

Can confirm that DCS is not tied to Windows and you can easily migrate.

All the better reason to have DCS on a separate drive from Windows. :)
