imacken Posted June 28, 2020 Share Posted June 28, 2020 (edited) I have been battling with the Walleye for a few days now. A lot of things work sometimes and not others. Here I just want to focus on the issue regarding slewing to a WPDSG target. In EVERY DCS session, it works OK the first time, but then it doesn't in subsequent attempts. I know it sounds crazy, but I posted a track here https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4403348&postcount=12 and if you watch it once, everything is OK and the seeker slews to the target. Watch it again or any subsequent times, and it doesn't work. I thought I was going mad, but another person on that thread confirmed it was the same for him. Sometimes it works once, sometimes not at all, and at other times, it slews way off to the left and sometimes all the way over to the right. You can go into a mission - e.g. the Caucasus stock Walleye one - unslave the Walleye to the WPDSG target (WP1) and it'll work. Slave, try again and occasionally it'll work but most of the time it just goes way off to the right, nowhere near the target. See attached new track from stock mission. Please try it more than once or twice. After it stops working, it will not work again in that DCS session. It needs a DSC restart to work - once! - again. Let me say again, this behaviour does NOT occur in the stable version. To make things worse, this behaviour is also happening for me with the 65F Mavs. See attached track. Same as Walleye. Works perfectly the first time, but after doing a shift-r, it doesn't. I think this is the issue, that some people are not seeing it as it appears to work OK at first. I have eliminated any controller issues by disconnecting them all and just using keyboard and mouse. Still the same. Simple to replicate, load the stock Walleye mission, WPDSG WP1, uncage Walleye, it works. Even crab it and undesignate, then WPDSG again and uncage. All works great. Then, do a shift-r. It doesn't work. TDC just flies over to the right. Occasionally it'll work after one restart, but just try it again.
