razo+r
The AI is driving and running through buildings quite often. Now add an "destroy all targets" objectiv to it while they hide in buildings and now you have a problem. In addition, they seem to be able to pull off things a player could never do, see pics. funkyfranky
I would not say "through" but rather "into" unfortunately. Some more examples I captured recently attached. I makes missions, which rely on a rather "simple" task where the group is supposed to go from A to B and arrive at B very difficult. Needless to say (I hope) that this is a very common thing in practice. A warrior's mission is to foster the success of others. i9-12900K | MSI RTX 3080Ti Suprim X | 128 GB Ram 3200 MHz DDR-4 | MSI MPG Edge Z690 | Samung EVO 980 Pro SSD | Virpil Stick, Throttle and Collective | MFG Crosswind | HP Reverb G2 RAT - On the Range - Rescue Helo - Recovery Tanker - Warehouse - Airboss
razo+r
For me, it's more through. They can easily go and move through buildings, which as you said, can make things more difficult.
funkyfranky
For me, they want to drive through the buildings but get stuck. Maybe this is what you meant, too? Because, e.g., the Abrams in your first pic does not look like it's getting back on its feet ;) A warrior's mission is to foster the success of others. i9-12900K | MSI RTX 3080Ti Suprim X | 128 GB Ram 3200 MHz DDR-4 | MSI MPG Edge Z690 | Samung EVO 980 Pro SSD | Virpil Stick, Throttle and Collective | MFG Crosswind | HP Reverb G2 RAT - On the Range - Rescue Helo - Recovery Tanker - Warehouse - Airboss
Py
It makes clearing an area extremely difficult, and is just immersion-breaking. What a waste of time trying to find this last guy, stuck vertically in the side of a building:
Grimes
Either way it is a failure of AI pathing and it has been reported for a while. TOViper
This problem is still persistent in 2.5.6.45317. Yesterday I flew in persian gulf near LAR airbase, and one of the red "Gozdvilla" artilliery units (dont know their exact name right now) went into a building again. Had to bomb the building ... :noexpression: Visit https://www.viggen.training ...Viggen... what more can you ask for? my computer: AMD Ryzen 5600G | NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti OC 11GB | 32 GB 3200 MHz DDR4 DUAL | SSD 980 256 GB SYS + SSD 2TB DCS | TM Warthog Stick + Throttle + TPR | Rift CV1
Raven (Elysian Angel)
Either way it is a failure of AI pathing and it has been reported for a while. Indeed, there have been examples for a while now, of people setting up a column of tanks on the Hoover Dam on the NTTR map, only to have the tanks disperse on being fired upon, driving down the dam on that 70+ degree slope and setting shop into the water next to the dam. Good luck destroying those tanks...
