MiG21bisFishbedL
And it doesn't seem to be the -21 alone, either. The Tomcat's missing it too. I get that emissions are a serious issue, but c'mon. Reformers hate him! This one weird trick found by a bush pilot will make gunfighter obsessed old farts angry at your multi-role carrier deck line up! Kang
Is it only me or did the flame just get fainter and fainter through the versions until it now disappeared? Thanks for looking into it, it really is virtually invisible now. A shame because its unique effect was very nice.
Buzzles
It's in the patch notes: Known Issue: Afterburners are invisible. Granted, it's under the F-14 section, but it's probaby a more global thing. Fancy trying Star Citizen? Click here!
-Rudel-
ED did change something in graphics code. Kang
On the plus side, this thread reads a lot like 'Looking into it and getting a fix soon'.
ResonantCard1
Gotta love updates that no one asks for and that break more things. Honestly the Tomcat got a shit ton of stuff, and the Face B for their walkman. It was a pretty big update, so I guess it's kind of normal that stuff breaks. And for that "no one asks for" thing, Hornet bois were pretty much crying because their new OP shiny toys got delayed, soooo... Main: MiG-21bis, because pocket rockets are fun Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum
Airhunter
and the Face B for their walkman. Which is another cause of CTD...
Cgjunk2
ED did change something in graphics code. Some spinners on the CE2 are not chrome anymore too. I just got the MIG-21 with the sale, and noticed the missing after burner as well. However, if you set the MIG as an AI, I noticed that they are visible. (The F-14 also has visible AB when flying as AI. So that makes me wonder if in fact the problem is with the graphics, or something else.

So that makes me wonder if in fact the problem is with the graphics, or something else. Both the F-14 and -21 use a different afterburner effect from other modules as a player aircraft, but they use the default as AI. Something probably got updated in the DCS code and now those two AB effects are just invisible. Reformers hate him!
