The C-101EB with the Chile colours! Tomorrow starts the test phase on the EB version, being in a very advanced status. After this week, we are going to start the CC version, which inlcudes the capabilities to carry weapons, an engine upgrade, and new systems.

DCS: C-101 Beta Release on January 15th, 2015

VALENCIA, Spain, December 31st, 2014 - DCS: C-101 Beta will be released on January 15th, 2015!

DCS: C-101 will include both the C-101EB and C-101CC models. The C-101EB model is the primary jet trainer and aerobatic display aircraft of the Spanish Air Force, whilst the C-101CC model, with its 7 hard-points and uprated engine, is a versatile light attack aircraft that has seen combat with the Honduras Air Force against drug traffickers. It is also in service with the Jordanian and Chilean air forces.

The two models of the C-101 have many similarities that include cockpit layout, core-systems operation, and aerodynamic design. This commonality brings something for everyone to include lead-in jet training, advanced aerobatics, and light attack.

The C-101EB model is now complete, with the light attack C-101CC version close behind. The AvioDev Technical Team is comprised of rated pilots and engineers that are dedicated to providing the highest level of accuracy and realism.

The Beta of the C-101CC is scheduled to be released by the end of February 2015. Advanced flight models are currently in development and will follow the release of the C-101EB and C-101CC.

  • Features of DCS: C-101 include:

  • Complete electrical system modelling
  • Complete circuit breaker simulation with correct failed systems behaviors
  • TARSYN gyro system replicated with exacting detail
  • Accurate flight director system
  • Custom air data simulation (airspeed/altimeter behaviors, etc.)
  • Custom navigation system simulation
  • Complete fuel system modeling
  • Complete hydraulic system modeling
  • Flight controls/landing gear can sustain damage if poorly handled
  • Accurate pressurization system
  • Accurate oxygen system
  • Icing model
  • Fully adjustable cockpit and exterior lighting

Additional features of the C-101CC model include:

  • HUD/Gun sight
  • Complete weapons system modeling
  • Custom ADF navigation radio system
  • AoA indexer and AoA indicator
  • Standby airspeed and altimeter incorporating unique physics
  • Radio altimeter
  • Advanced flight director system

mi piace di più questo che l'hawk!

Progress update on the C-101CC

  • Air Data Computer - the foundations of the ADC were in place with the EB, and it has been further refined and expanded to supply additional systems with data, and drive failure logic in those systems.

  • Flight Director - this system is proving to be a major under-taking. The system as installed in the EB is fairly rudimentary, however the system in the CC version takes into account many more parameters in order to refine steering commands. Due to the inter-relations between various systems that feed into the Flight Director computer, it is taking significantly longer than anticipated to get this system working as per the real unit. Progress is in the right direction, and we are not far from making a major break-through that will hopefully see this system suddenly completed.

  • Weapons System - this was actually fairly trivial to implement, though the apparent simplicity of the panel belies the underlying logic that drives it.

  • HUD - WIP.

  • Electrical System - work on this will follow the work on the Flight Director. There are some 20+ additional circuit breakers to implement, in addition to re-assigning some existing circuit breakers to different systems as it is not 100% identical to the EB.

  • Navigation Radios - the ADF radios are now implemented and working in basic form. Left to be added are complex systems behaviors associated with such a system, including mountain effect, coastal effect, night effect, static effects, and quadrant error due to relative position of the station to the aircraft. We are aiming to have the most comprehensive simulation of ADF radio in existence.

  • Advanced Flight Model - work is progressing very well on the AFM. We are working like crazy, and we look forward to getting this out to you!

Preso! Manca la sezione training anche se c'è ben poco da imparare....sbaglio o non sono ancora disponibili le comunicazioni radio con la torre di controllo?
