Just a thought,

I decided to check my ssd Alpha drive for fragmentation. I run only release and alpha on this drive.

34% ! Now I do mod quite a bit but..............

De fragmenting now before Normandy.

It had never been done before on this drive!

It has been a long ride to get here.

I want to arrive ready to spend the weekend away in France!

DCS loads like a rabbit now!

FPS increased by small amount.

Slight jerkiness or pauses I used to see occasionally are gone so far.

More testing needed.

Guys, I don't have 2.0 yet, should I download it now so I'll be ready to install Normandy? Or will that just download NTTR or something...

DCS:WWII 1944 BACKER --- Fw. 190D-9 --- Bf. 109K-4 --- P-51D --- Spitfire!

Yes, you should start downloading DCS 2.0 now, so then when you update to 2.1 it will not be as large of a file/update. If you wait for it all to be updated, it will probably be a very large file, though at this point it may be updated to 2.1 within the next hour (hopefully...).

Download 2 now, then you only have to do an update and install your terrain and modules when the patch is released
