too many crashes?

after updating 2.5.6 I think I'm getting to many crashes.

as many as 30%-50% of my flights (doesn't matter if it's F-14/18 or an A-10) end up in a complete FREEZE. I have to end task in task manager to exit.

 

I know it's a beta but still...

 

just me?

Please attach your dcs log it should give us more clues and help with out investigation.

 

Our public test version ( open beta ) will occasional have major issue, in this case switching to 2.5.6 has highlighted many issues and the team are working on them.

I have lots of crashes since .6

It seems that a lot of my self made missions simply crash after mission start.

Maybe it is because many mods are incompatable now.

ED training missions work ok.

 

A window pops up after crash asking me to send status to ED. So I did.

Hope they`ll have a look at them.

 

It`s frustating when "old" missions are not payable anymore.Sometimes I have the feeling that every update is also two steps back.:cry:

Core engine changes do that. And that has ALWAYS been the issue with mods in every game ever made, if a person chooses to use mods it's usually best to refrain from patching unnecessarily unless you really want whatever is coming in because it is EXTREMELY common for them to break in EVERY game if something major changes.

It could be related to the issues we are investigating in 2.5.6 I would suggest waiting for the next patch which should be very soon to test again.

thanx for the reply my gpu driver is up to date.

the crash goes like that:

1 black screen - sound goes on

2. loading cursor appears on the black screen - going forever.

3. have to press esc. for a few times.

4. have to go alt-ctrl-delete and ens task in task manager.

For me its fine if test running a mission through the mission editor, but multiplayer is a crash fest, not just for me for everyone on our server, then the server bit the dust after 45mins... This has been consistent since 2.5.6, but I am confident ED will get it sorted pretty quickly.

2.5.6 unplyable for me. Crashes in mid flight every time in any module. Cleared fxo and metashaders, deleted saved games- and still crashes like a led zeppelin.

No change - game crashes about 5 mins into flight. :cry:
