Aluminum Donkey
...but can't see the cockpit in 2.5.6.? With the Gamma set to get the ground looking good (usually pretty low), the cockpit is really, really dark. The solution (for now) appears to be turning off Cockpit Global Illumination. The 'pit is now clearer and the ground looks good! :) You still get the shadows moving around in the 'pit when you roll it, but it's easier to see everything. Just stumbled across this now. Aluminum Donkey
Does the Cockpit Global Illumination take more resources on your machine (e.g. frame rate eating)? It eats a wee bit, but doesn't seem too serious. It doesn't seem to me that there's really a huge difference in the way it looks either, it's just darker. Art-J
Visual and fps impact seems to be very aircraft-dependent. From my testing in 2.5.4 era on warbirds I recall anywhere between 2 and 14 fps difference. Visuals - same thing. No difference in some planes, big in the others. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
