Hi Guys

I keep having hard crashes were the computer completely locks up needs a hard reboot. I'm having this issue for a while now, and is completely random.

I've done :

DCS repair

DDU remove drivers and update to the newer ones

Pagefile tip

i5 9400F

Zotac GTX 1660ti

16GB DDR4

Prime95, memtest64, furMark don't crash the machine

Any ideas ??

Maybe not enough USB power to drive all your joysticks, VR etc? Try removing all the peripherals and plug them one at a time. I had something similar until I added a powered PCIe USB card (Inateck KTU3FR-5O2U).

I've already done that prior to me posting this message, unfortunately it did not solve the problem.

@aeriagloria - no, dcs just freezes and forces me to reboot

Is it happening all of the time no matter the aircraft?

or is it specific?

Pretty much every day no matter the aircraft, it can be in F16 or the Dora or F18, its totally random :(

But after the first crash i can usually play for a hour or two without further crashes. Since the first log posted in here I've been playing just fine till now

The temps on the GPU and CPU are around 60ºC and 55 respectively.

I have been hard crashing since the update. This is with the 16. Also something I rarely see is it when 1st running the sim it says server not found and goes into offline mode. Seems to be 50/50. I just lowered my oc and just crash out again....

Hi,

Some users have problems with overclocked systems and DCS, If you have an overclock try reducing it for stability.

If you have tried the advice in my signature and you are still seeing the same please contact support directly

thank you

It's a recent PC build and I haven't done any overclocking on the CPU or GPU. I'm not 100% sure that the Zotac GTX 1660ti AMP is factory overclocked i think it only has better cooling. I'm going to double check that.

I'm going to contact support and see what can be done.

Thanks BIGNEWY

I did a sfc /scannow now it seems it found corrupt files. "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them." Should I do a fresh W10 reinstall ?

If it was me, I would yes.

On a new build never good to start with windows errors / corrupt files.

So I think a found the culprit, it's a USB WIFI adapter (D-Link DWA-131)I've stop using it and haven´t had crash since.

Very unusual, but thank you for sharing with us.

Good to see you are sorted now
