Solve DCS server hangs with one weird trick! (Dev's hate him!) Details inside

So we're running into something really strange with our dedicated server where the game will randomly hang after hours of play. Sometimes we make it to our 4 hour restart, sometimes no. So we solved an issue we had with ed_sound.dll last week by installing Virtual Audio Cable, our system instantly became 400% (super scientific) more stable. The last couple of days I've noticed that we still will occasionally will get a hang, and three times now I've been able to clear the hang by simply disabling the active playback device and re-enabling it in the Windows Sound menu.

Can the forums staff somehow pass this information along to the devs? It seems like something might be getting stuck in a queue or something as the server attempts and fails to process a sound perhaps? And for other people struggling with servers maybe this can bring you a degree of relief.
