So the OB uses Vulkan now?

Because I noticed 2 patches ago that it really started to run well on this old rig of mine. And just today, I noticed there was a two weeks old Vulkan installer log in my temp directory ;)

Now, I've seen some folks on this board whine about the OB and its forced DS - and some apparently do so without having even tried the thing themselves. Phleeze. Just give the bugger a go even if some cockpits are still not up to par, because the performance at least on my end is just great again even with 2xMSAA and NVI SSAA on! I.e. good stuff gents and gentettes ;)

If a such change would be made, I think it should really be first thing in the patch notes as it is affecting debugging and testing big time.

Well, I'm pretty sure it uses at least a part of the Vulkan API already, because I really saw a massive performance boost about two patches ago + the tell-tale log there I mentioned. No official confirmation however...

DCS still uses DirectX 11_) Libraries in full.

You cannot split and Engine to use Half Direct3D and Half Vulkan.

There is no Vulkan Coding/Files in DCS OB or RELEASE.

Really what? OK, no Vulkan if Zilla says so, but better performance all around regardless. So there's apparently some optimization going on at least.

If I am not wrong it was announced something like november 2017, it's been 7 months already, and no news so far

Yes Matt mentioned it! But no news since then! If Vulcan API is implemented, ED communicates to us about it.
