Rolibi555
Hi guys, In know my question can be awnsered with trial and error, but maybe some off you have experience with this. Today i received my GTX 1080 (not the ti) And the card it replaces is an GTX 1060 6GB I watched the video from Jabbers a million times with my old card, to get the best out of it. But higher than PD of 1.0 is a no go. Specially on the ground, the image is uggly and frame rates terrible. So with most settings on medium and a PD of 1.0, DCS runs smoothly on my current system. Maybe you understand why i bought the GTX 1080 :-) I want a higher PD (mayby 1.5?) and some settings on high, i hope for a smooth experience. Any advise you can give me, how to set the settings to optimal for this line up ? Besides the videocard i have the following specs: -Intel i5 Gen 7 -16 GB HyperX Kingston RAM - 256GB SSD Samsung EVO 960 Thanks in advance Rainbow ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gigabyte Z270X| Intel i5 7600K 3.8Ghz | Gigabyte GTX1060 6GB | Samsung 960 240GB SSD | 240GB SSD HyperX DCS disk | 16Gb Kingston HyperX DDR4 | Thrustmaster Warthog - 15506 | Saitek Combat Rudders | Thrustmaster MFDs | Oculus Rift CV1 with 3 sensors | Creative X-Fi Titanium | Windows 10 64-bit Prof | 2x HP 24" LED | Logitech Z623 THX 2.1 | Corsair 550Watt Professional PSU
Jacks
I am using ASW on, MSAA off, PD @ 1.4, All high settings except shadows to medium, heatblur to low and terrain shadows to flat. I have trees maxed out. This gives a pretty solid 45FPS on Blue Flag however it does sometimes dip below. i really hope ED optimises the game for VR soon................. A Hamburgler
I have found that putting the PD at 1 then putting the steam super sampling up in place of the PD you get better frams. I put my super sampling at I think 184% and it looks better then when I put my PD at 1.5 which is the minimum visual quality I’ll play with. I have a 1060 6gb and I get 35-40 frams so I’m sure you can handle it.

Mixing them seemed to make things look better and perform just as well! ------------ 3080Ti, i5- 13600k 32GB VIVE index, VKB peddals, HOTAS VPC MONGOOSE, WARTHOG throttle, BKicker,
