Andrei Posted April 24, 2018 Share Posted April 24, 2018 I recently came to study Viggen a bit more than start up and basic flight. While fiddling with the systems I noticed that e.g. external lights are operating when the battery is off. Thus, I came to wonder what is the level of fidelity of electrical system modelling? Is that a reason that our Viggen approximates it very much or does it really work like that in real world? Manual doesn't say nearly anything on electric system, thus asking this question here. Rudel_chw Posted April 24, 2018 Share Posted April 24, 2018 I know its not the same Viggen variant as in DCS, but most likely this diagram should be similar to what our DCS version has: I'm no electric engineer, but I believe that both battery buses have energy even if the battery switch is off ... and the lights seem to be on battery bus 2. Reading the chart, it looks like the BAT bus 2 is indeed powered without the main bat switch and lights should be operating as they do in the game.
