Northstar98
Hi Guys, Well it's been a few months since something bad happened to my Logitech G430s meaning now they no longer work. I have been playing without sound for a while, which sucks but the biggest problem arises from the hardware I use for head-tracking - a TrackClip Pro which attaches to the headband of a headset. With the headset pretty much gone (I'm gonna try and fix the thing before getting rid of it, if I can fix it). But I'll need to sort out a new headset anyways so... Any recommendations? Ideally with 7.1 and a microphone and preferably under or around £150 Cheers, Ollie Edited July 18, 2017 by Northstar98 Modules I own: F-14A/B, Mi-24P, AV-8B N/A, AJS 37, F-5E-3, MiG-21bis, F-16CM, F/A-18C, Supercarrier, Mi-8MTV2, UH-1H, Mirage 2000C, FC3, MiG-15bis, Ka-50, A-10C (+ A-10C II), P-47D, P-51D, C-101, Yak-52, WWII Assets, CA, NS430, Hawk. BitMaster
I use a dirt cheap Logitech for 29,95€ for 3 years now, after my son already abused it for like 2 years. It has no 7.1 or other fancy stuff but does it's job for DCS and easily accepts TiR5 clamp. I need/want "open ear" and would buy this again anytime. 1 Gigabyte Aorus X570S Master - Ryzen 5900X - Gskill 64GB 3200/CL14@3600/CL14 - Asus 1080ti EK-waterblock - 4x Samsung 980Pro 1TB - 1x Samsung 870 Evo 1TB - 1x SanDisc 120GB SSD - Heatkiller IV - MoRa3-360LT@9x120mm Noctua F12 - Corsair AXi-1200 - TiR5-Pro - Warthog Hotas - Saitek Combat Pedals - Asus PG278Q 27" QHD Gsync 144Hz - Corsair K70 RGB Pro - Win11 Pro/Linux - Phanteks Evolv-X

Mtnbiker1998
This one is the best for the money: https://www.amazon.com/HyperX-Cloud-Gaming-Headset-KHX-HSCC-BK/dp/B0153XL4V2 great sound, fits well, and suitable for TrackIR. I recently bought a Pair of HyperX cloud II's, and they are outstanding. As far as I can tell its identical to these "Core" headsets + it has a USB, button box and 7.1. Its about $20 more on amazon. Away from home so I don't have my trackclip, it almost looks like it could take some creativity to get on, but I think it should work. 1 Come fly with me, lets fly, lets fly away! -Sinatra [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] My Specs: Lenovo Y50 with GTX 860m (2GB), i7 4700HQ 2.4GHz, 8GB Ram. Gizzy
Been through many headsets including hyper-x clouds and none have stayed the course of very intense use bar Logitech 933. The Hypers had great sound and light but the cable failed after 3 months heavy use. I'm sure others experiences would be better I've mine for over 2 years now and they have been intensively used and abused virtually every day.... no issues, light and great sound... mic and software good - no issues... Of course YMMV though...
Northstar98
Thankyou so much guys, I really appreciate this :) The headset I'm going to go for, if anything for the time being are these just as a cheap back-up headset https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B06W2GPNR7/ hopefully it'll get along with TrackClip without too much creativity.
