OK i figured it out,

First click on radio control handover (you'll see 2 yellow rectangles on com panel LCD on left panel)

Now on number pad next to com panel you'll see a - and + below 2 and three on key pad respectively .Click - or + to choose channel preset you wish to change .

Then turn Radio mode selector to the set position.

Then press enter on the key pad then input desired radio station.

Then turn Radio mode selector back to T/R .

And your done

Probably not the only way to do this but it works for me.

Happy flying and good luck!!!

Your welcome,

I didn't notice that there wasn't radio presets in the mission editor.Hopefully they will add them.

First click on radio control handover (you'll see 2 yellow rectangles on com panel LCD on left panel)

If you enable the radio control handover, you disable the UFC from changing channels i.e. entering COM2 199 for the data link.

To change radio channels using the UFC, press the arrow key next to the channel number

• 1st press takes you to the squelch and network settings

• a second press clears the number and you can type in the new channel i.e. Channel 047 = 131.0 MHz = Batumi,

• a third press enters the new number.

If the UFC Channel keeps resetting to the previous value, check the "radio control handover" isn't enabled i.e. no yellow rectangle LEDs on the Radio. "EE" means the value entered was invalid.

Do we have a list of which channel corresponds to which frequency? I couldn't find it, if so. Also, I can't talk to my AI wingman, for some reason, what's the channel for that?

There is a chart included in the in-game kneeboard.

Ah, never occurred to me to look there... Thanks!

Any way to dial in a manual channel using the UFC?

+1

I would like to know as well.

on ufcp, you can only select channel number with preset freq.

1. click RTN to return to default UFCP page

2. if you want to use COM1, click left -> button at the bottom twice (1st to enter COM1 page, 2nd to enter edit mode)

3. enter channel number

4. click same -> to apply the input

to manually enter a freq, you need to operate on radio control box

there're 200 preset channels, do you want me to put all of them into ME?

if you modify the lua, this could cause IC warning.

now you can change the freq in control box

I think they are asking the wrong question, instead of asking how to edit some lua file, are you wondering how to manually tune to a radio channel. Not a preset.

It's important that we can use the ME to adjust the presets like in most modules. I don't think 200 is necessary, but having at least 20 is important for those of us that fly in large MP groups.

However, being able to adjust 200 frequencies wouldn't be unwelcome and is better than not having any IMO.

Having the ability to edit the frequencies attached to each preset in the editor is pretty important as it will reduce the difficulty involved in accounting for every possible airport/airbase ATC frequency (both in current and future maps). Right now, not every ATC can be contacted due to the lack of presets that account for their specific frequency.

Perhaps a good compromise would be to add the same preset editing tab in the mission editor that every other plane has but with perhaps fewer presets to edit (maybe fifty for comm 1 and fifty for comm 2).

In my opinion, 20-24 channels would be enough, but please put presets for both Com1 and Com2.

Also, can you please tell me the difference between these keybinds?

I had initially used the T4 on my Hotas, but they didn’t work .. but the Radio Triggers did work on their place :)

You can take any preset and edit their frequency on the radio panel, on the left console.

Turn the "Radio Mode selector" to "SET".

Push "Radio control handover" button.

Push "ENT" on the keypad for the radio and punch in the frequency.

Set "Radio Mode selector" to TR

Pusch Radio control handover.

The selected frequency is now on the 01 preset.

I already know how to tune the radio and set presets. What I would like is to set up the presets before the mission and since it isn't in ME I can just put it in the .lua just like I would do the countermeasures on the F-16 before they implemented it. It won't cause any issues with IC, It's just changing numbers...and if it does, that is what a backup file is for. I am assuming you don't know where this file is?
