ThorBrasil
Ha, the IP is actually explaining the startup procedure, where he wants to see the SCAS off when he goes through the precrank phase. :D The croatian birds do miss the rwr and the cmws/eoms system. Well, I think that really is some stuff they should have kept. Will the DCS version have all systems? |Motherboard|: Asus TUF Gaming X570-PLUS, |WaterCooler|: Corsair H115i Pro, |CPU|: AMD Ryzen 7 3800X, |RAM|: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB 3200MHz DDR4, |SSD|: Kingston A2000 500GB M.2 NVMe, |SSD|: Kingston 2.5´ 480GB UV400 SATA III, |SSHD|: Seagate Híbrido 2TB 7200RPM SATA III, |GPU|: MSI Gaming 980Ti, |Monitor|: LG UltraWide 34UM68, |Joystick 1|: Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog, |Joystick 2|: T.Flight Rudder Pedals, |Head Motion|: TrackIr 5. FragBum
Hmm what about a basic version you know lighter more agile,.. :):thumbup::thumbup: Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment. Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above. borchi_2b
as I see it, the OH58a/c is not more agile, cause it has a underslung rotor. As far I see it, the articulated rotorsystem of the OH58D is more direct and more agile http://www.polychop-sims.com
Eldur
Even though I'm not a fan of how the cyclic controls and the FM work on the Gazelle ATM, I'm really excited about this and confident that you devs know how to improve these things. Looking forward to the new FM/input for hte Gazelle as well as the Kiowa Warrior nad I most probably will get this early as well to support you guys
todd022
Borchi has a great point about the rotor system differences and how a semi-rigid rotor system isn't great for maneuverability. You know this already if you fly the huey and have snapped the rotor off with aggressive maneuvering. [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

FragBum
Okay I'll wait I'll wait and see, but I snap the rotor off all the current ones I clearly need to be more gentle doing loops and rolls,.. :helpsmilie: ;) Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment. borchi_2b
@todd022 It is not only about the mastbumping, it is more about the fact that the blades flap and hunt freely, which makes the fullyarticulated rotorsystem more "twitchy" aswell then a underslung system. That also results in the fact that it is more responsive and agile aswell. fl0w
If you could describe the current FM how it is right now with other existing helicopter modules in DCS, what would be the closest to us getting an idea of what she feels like?
JayBird
It seems the OH58 is further along than I/we thought. I sure hope that's the case!! I would be a happy guy if we got this before the end of the year! Not holding my breath on that at all, but dang dude it'd be an exciting year for DCS if that happened. fmpflyer
Will the Kiowa have the ability to buddy lase for AI aircraft? Would be nice to put a team of Apaches behind a hill then lase targets for them from a different position.

Eagle_Rising
I think this might be my first DCS helicopter then ... Happy to hear that this wonderful machine is coming to DCS! I really recommend getting the Huey now and learning the basics of flying a helicopter. Otherwise you will be pretty frustrated trying to learn all the systems and learn how to fly at the same time. Just my two cents. Otherwise you will be pretty frustrated trying to learn all the systems and learn how to fly at the same time. Just my two cents. Absolutely. We start training seriously on the Gazelle, developing tactics that work in DCS and training on the flying style we need for a Scout to work. This combined with flying the Huey on an advanced level should make the transformation to the Kiowa easy when we finally get it.
