Can you print the collective switch boxes for the huey? If so I’d be interested in them. I don’t have any drawings or dimensions i just have seen photos like must of the collective

All I need is boxes that will allow for the switch placement including the hat and if Iirc that’s a switch 90 out in each direction from the hat for the main box and two switches on the extended box in line with the others but I’ll have to check and I may use mini toggles since that’s what I’m use to. They throw without disrupting the collective so draw something up off the photos close is good enough for sim government work after looking ithe switches in the extended box are on the outer edge of the hat switch and a push button on the rear right corner and the main box is angled maybe enlarge the photo to 1:1 size would give you enough info to design everything and I think the item between the two fwd switches is a peanut lamp that I will not be adding

I have a quick question. I know that if I turn around the idle detent part I could use it as afterburner detent. But then I´m loosing the idle detent and additionally it´s not very easy to go into afterburner without lifting up the throttles. Is there any part in your products which I can use to have the idle detent still there like it is and have a small detent to go into afterburner. For sure I´m referring to the upcoming F/A-18C ;) I had a look in your shop but was not really sure about my findings.

Thanks.

xoxen,

You want this one:

https://www.shapeways.com/product/3MJPNE2SV/warthog-throttle-part-afterburner-detent?optionId=63799442

or this one:

https://www.shapeways.com/product/JRJYBMYLA/warthog-throttle-part-dual-detent?optionId=63799463

Both of these operate only on the fast end of the throttle, they do not change the idle end. Both of those part turn the throttle into "push-through" for AB, no actual lifting required.

(I have the dual-ab detent version and its awesome).

For others reading:

https://www.shapeways.com/product/8ZNMV2TQV/warthog-throttle-part-center-detent?optionId=63799378 is a centre detent only, and the idle lift is completely eliminated.

https://www.shapeways.com/product/VVZK4G62W/warthog-throttle-part-center-detent-with-reverse?optionId=63921488 is a centre detent with a pull-through to idle - the pull-through idle bit is the taper at the end of the flat curved plate.

Note on the Warthog that the throttle-idle position is the minimum analog position of both axis. When you lift up and move the throttles to "OFF" then an internal digital button is activated.

As such, I cant think of a use case of eliminating the idle detent completely.

Just installed my Shapeways Warthog throttle afterburner detent. Dropped right in and works as described. No lifting to get over the afterburner hump, just a little added push and the throttles go into afterburner.

Thanks to Shapeways for a great little product.

Somebody already made PCB for Alps thumbstick.

Maybe whole amplifier could be fitted on PCB this size with SMD components.

Nice !! You managed to dig up my old project :)

I actually also built the following :

V2 of the PCB

Thumbstick controller board with Amplification and Micro pro connectors

Hey Debolestis! Any chance you'd do an envelope shipping?

Shipping cost alone cost $26 to where I live(Hong Kong). If the piece is small enough to fit in an envelope, It should probably cost less than a few bucks to ship it instead.

I don't think it's Debo's fault. Shapeways are the middle man....my detent arrive today, the box was so large they could have put 100 in there and still had room for more. A padded bag for a few bucks would have sufficed!

Shapeways does printing and shipping. I only upload models on their web site. I think only option is UPS. It is around 15$ in Europe, it doesn't matter how small the printed model is. There is nothing that I can do about that.

I'll buy Prusa I3 Mk3 printer in about 2 months, maybe then I'll have models that I can print and ship myself. I always ship via regular airmail, it is 3$ more or less for whole world.

I Bought 3 of these and am pretty stoked. they fit really well. im still unsure of how to use the Saab one though. am i maybe confused? is this part not for the AB side? is it maybe for the Idle side instead?

You mean THIS PART?

There is only one side for this part, it cannot fit any other way. Side with detents goes back. It is for Leading Edge Saab A340 and I don't know if it works. It was drawn per request and I have not received feedback for it yet.

Liked the review and decided to put in an order.

Lookig forward to installing it.

Hi guys,

Just to make the Brazilians aware. Brazil is an horrible country for customs.

I made the order and was promptly served by Shapeways. The AB detent cost was USD$36,29 (usd 30,00 shipping). It came via UPS and they charged me R$264,00 (USD68,00) for “customs fees”.

In other words, a part that costs USD6,29 will get in Brazil for USD104,29.

This has nothing to do with Shapeways, but with the horrible Customs fees in Brazil.

The purpose of this post is to make Brazilians aware that they will be charged hard by brazilian frigging customs. I hate them.

All the best,

Sydy

  • 3 weeks later...

I added two more parts to my store.

Warthog throttle part -Airbus

It is to be used with FSLabs A320 addon, it adds detents at aproximately 20, 30, 70 and 85 percent.

710x528_24192605_12448303_1532073847.jpg

This one is similar to my afterburner detent part. There is afterburner detent and also detent at 0% throttle. HERE

710x528_24192806_13295407_1532075854.jpg

Both parts were requested and both are it test phase. They should work but I am not 100% sure.

Also I ordered Prusa I3 Mk3 3D printer, so soon I'll be able to test all of my prototypes and also sell my parts, cheaper than Shapeways and more importantly, I'll be able to ship parts in envelopes at low prices all over the world. I know there have been some issues in some countries with customs or expensive shipping.
