Recommended Posts

Hello all !

This is my first iteration on this new profile! Several instruments are working right now.

Working on lamps and switches.

My plan is publish first the pilot cockpit, then i am going to start with the RIO one.

I let you know how it is going.

Hope you like it!

How are you going to handle the viewports for the pilot and RIO as they have to have separate assignments in the monitor config file? Will we need two screens for the profile, one for the pilot and one for the RIO or will you be able to combine them?

From another post: "You can export the screens that are viewable from respective seat.This means that the pilot can export VDI and HSD while the RIO can also export the DDD and TID in addition to the VDI and HSD as he can see them from his position."

Hi Capt'n! Any news on this?

I was so desperate I've hacked your image in the first post to build a crude cockpit in Helios (no F14 interface of course). Thanks for the full screen background at least it gives us something to play with...

Put in the HSI, VDI, RWR and passive buttons, now I can at least forego the keyboard on my lap much better for rudder control!

A little update:

After finished the new KA50 and UH1H, i continue working on the F14.

The F14 profile is very advanced. Right now i got the 89% of outputs ready.

Still working on art and the inputs.

I foresee one more week of work to finish it.

Ahh, of course, i am makieng a complete profile, for pilot and RIO on the same profile

i saw somepeople can set some one of screen(like store manegement screen,no display button,magic!) in the left up corner,did it base on it?

It is a software to replicate the cockpit instruments on a separate touchscreen.

The dials, switches, MFD on your touchscreen will control the same instruments in DCS, so you don't really have to use a keyboard anymore with this solution.

The links to download the applications are at the bottom in Capt Zeen's signature.

Problems?

Hey, I've run into the issue of when I use Jester the radio wheel overlaps with the F-14 Helio and becomes obstructed making it basically impossible to use :(

http://https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rx6AE-E5-80

Also this may be a "me problem" but when I click on the ECMD TIL switch it doesn't change to to the Radar screen instead remaining on NAV on the HELIO yet switching to radar in game.

Are you exporting the HSD or the ECMD? The ECMD (in the back seat) never changes to the TID.

In the monitor profiles you can control Jester's size and position perfectly!

Also there is a 'bug' with the profile by CaptnZeen I changed it to the HSI pilot viewport that switches: F14_HSD

my profile now for two superposed 1920x1080 monitors :

_  = function(p) return p; end;
name = _('F14-PILOT');
Description = 'F14 pilot viewports exported'

         viewDx = 0;
         viewDy = 0;
         aspect = 16/9;
    }
}

Looks OK. Maybe remove that whole ECMD line just for the hell of it.
