Not sure if it's been asked yet but will there improved rain and finally have rain effects on the canopy?

I believe Wags talked about it in one of his vids, I will have to search and see if I can find it, unless someone else remembers which one.

Did I hear Wags mention working on animations at Airbases in NTTR?

Perhaps he could expand on that next Video? What animations are we talking about?

I think he was talking about the approach lighting systems for the various airfields that have them.

Are we talking "RABBITS"? Now THAT would be cool!

Are contrails fixed? I mean now every time contrails start at 8000 and end at 12000 meters high.

Will they in 1.5 be more flexible? Start and end at another height, be just dynamic?

best way to go is have the public release version and the beta installed simultaneously.

Whatever you choose here is the link for both http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/world/

I did new installation of DCS Public and DCS World open Beta. The 2 icon DCS World Open Beta is supposed to open the Game ?

There were no hard dates, late September is and always was a best estimate, there is no reason to loose our minds if its a little later, even into Oct, but be assured, this is top priority right now, getting 1.5 out.

All that said, this thread isn't about release dates, so lets try and keep it clear of that, I am seeing the same guys asking the same things, I am trying not to be heavy handed with the warnings, so please try and keep it on topic.

You have to understand these guys have been waiting a long time for this update to 1.5/2.0 and with all the delays, the announcement for end of September was a small light towards the end of a long black tunnel. Anymore delays even the smallest to all of us is yet another major bug in community support. Or maybe my military past just jades me on deadlines if I here late September I expect it in September no later, and I also worked in software and well my deadlines whether hard dates or not was done and out to the clients as stated. But that's just me, customer is always right.

Hi everybody!

I just recently started playing DCS A-10C after an absence from simming and PC gaming in general for over ten years. My last "real" simulation was Falcon 4.0 Allied Force.

I have a question relating to 1.5 / 2.0 that might sound a bit odd at first. I play DCS through Steam and was wondering if there is a way NOT TO UPDATE and keep on playing the current version.

My hardware setup simply can not handle the minimun requirements for 1.5 but gives me more than decent performance on the current version. I play on an iMac (Bootcamp) that only has a Nvidia GT 755M with 1GB of memory. I know that this is a sub par system for gaming, but so far I have been very happy with it. Right now I simply can not justify investing into a dedicated Gaming-Rig (even mor so since I recently dropped a substantial amount on a Warthog and Pedals).

So, if anybody has any suggestions how I can leave my Installation untouched once 1.5 comes out on Steam, I would be very happy!
