Wow, let me see.. f-5, F,4, C-101, F-18, Mirage F1 someday and Mirage 3, in the pipeline... Almost the entire ( moreso modern) Spanish Air Force lest the Ef2000... Great!

Agreed. It's the best choice because despite some avionics inconsistencies, we will, with loadout restrictions, be able to use this in many different mission eras. I am still thrilled about this coming module. Just wanted to know what it's like to try and land it on a carrier like my grandfather did.

and not to mention the E series of the phantom were the ones that had an Internal 20mm M61 vulkan. it wont need external gunpods as backup. thats an extra Pylon store you have an opportunity to use for something else.

I am very happy with the version chosen. While the absence of carrier operations is regrettable, overall the F-4E had the biggest historical impact and offers more variety.

The F-4E has been in service with a lot of countries: USA, Australia, Egypt, Greece, Iran, Israel, Japan, South Korea and Turkey. In addition to the USAF service in Vietnam, the F-4E also saw major action with Israel and Iran. Without digging out the specific numbers, I think IDF/AF F-4E scored around 100 kills and the IRIAF something along 50+.

Most importantly to me, the F-4E can do SEAD with AGM-45 which the Navy Phantoms never did to my knowledge. In addition, the F-4E is capable to employ early PGM such as Maverick, the Paveway/Pave Spike/Pave Tack combination and the GBU-15 TV guided glide bomb. The fun thing is, that precision guided weapons from this era still required considerable manual operation by the pilot and the WSO. So this will not merely be an early copy of the Hornet. A wise choice by Belsimtek.


As a little extra, check out this interesting loadout. This apparently shows an Israeli F-4E during Operation Mole Cricket 19, the 1982 destruction of the Syrian SAM network in the Bekaa Valley. Next to the GBU-15 on the wing, note the funky Sidewinder installation on the forward Sparrow stations. Has anyone ever seen that?

Like fuel, which you will need.

The E is the best one we could hope for without a niche aircraft being built. It was a long awaited model for the USAF, everyone finally realizing the mistake and adding a gun. It was a bomb truck, add a pave knife and you have a plane that could drop guided weapons. Airframe wise you have a G model, just slap some sensors onto the outside of it, cap off the gun (the under nose pod remained, the gun was removed to make room for, yep, more sensors), make a new cockpit layout and BAM! Weasel IV. I think this was a great pick, and between this and fake F's sooooo many livery options lol.....

this planes has 3 different shape pods under wing and body. all of them for fuel or the one on the center is travel pod?

Outer pylons are fuels, inner ones look like travel pods. Centerline is also fuel.
