Well.. i consider my 1st landing a success. Without looking at the manual and more importantly looking at the control setup i took to the skies to see if the install had worked.

And with no throttle control, as it was not mapped, i managed to land at full throttle and walk away! :D

Walk away from the plane maybe, but your ground crew would probably punch your lights out for the amount of work yo just caused him (or her) ;)

Considering the speed i came down at they should be grateful she still has wings! :P

My second attempt on take-off.

I was so bad doing this, that I had to actually "ressurect" my old CH Throttle in order to have a better torque control. The joystick that I used for the A-10 has a built-in throttle lever in it, but doesn't allow for a long and controlled throttle setting.

Once I installed it, I got to take off on the first attempt.

Throttle is everything to tame this beast.

This is an amazing sim! 'Nuff said!:pilotfly:

Nice, well don't think the PONY in IL-2 can even come close to the way this MUSTANG flies. ;)

Here's Chromium and me on our very first flight. Surprisingly, it ended well.

My new hobby is taking off, landing and repeating with full realism. I still seem to land hard at 100mph. Not sure if I should be flaring more or keeping some speed up.

Do you guys engage the tail wheel steering after touch down to not spin out?

I'm still crashing out quite often!
