Ovenmit
We've been experiencing this too since the latest 1.5.7 update. Before that it was fine. Huge drop to almost single digits when migs are right next to each other. But once one taxies just a bit further past its fine again. Very strange. Its almost like its got only got something to do with them being on each others left or right. ViFF
I confirm the problem persists. Happened to me & wingman on blue flag server when lining up on the runway very close to each other. Ovenmit
Yep.. again right now. Only 2 mig-21 on airfield. MP. MASSIVE FPS lag ONLY when to left or right of another Mig. Close. At about 2 jets width it seems fine. Also had a huge server crash when we fired missiles at a bomber formation... but that may be unrelated. 59th_Reaper
The reason of the fps drop is located in the collision model, so Magnitude please fix it! I tested it and when i renamed the mig-21-collision.edm to mig-21-collision.edm.bak, the problem was disappeared. But this method is not solve the problem, because in that case you can't start from the ground and of course you haven't collision model... :D Edited October 20, 2017 by 59th_Reaper Two tails, two engines! zafgev
Planes grounded Couple of us wanted to look into flying the Mig21 as a formation team. So last night on the AO 1.5x we tried flying close formation. Most of us fly using VR. This problem cropped up as soon as we get close (a few meters) - frame rates drop to below 15's in VIVE and Oculus. So basically unflyable in formation. Its a great pity though as this would be a great addition to the formation flying fraternity which is gaining momentum. But until this is solved the planes are grounded :(

Wunderwolf
We flew on thursday 2.2 Nevada BlueFlag two-ship MiG-21. (We stream every tuesday and thursday ... ) and we noticed there not a single framedrop when one passed the other on the runway. It seems like its gone there already. We will make additional tests next week. zafgev
I've logged a track a while ago. The track is now getting some attention. However seems they can replicate the issue but for multiplayer is seems they are struggling to figure out what is causing this. Also seems only two people have logged this as an issue. Please head over to their website and log this. The more people do the more critical this is and then gets attention. Don't vent on the DCS forum as I don't think they necessarily use the forum to be notified about bugs. zafgev
Hi. We tried the file on a multiplayer server, using similar conditions reported initially. Files were copied both to client PC's as well as a scenario copying the files to the host server. Problem remains unfortunately. No apparent improvement at all.
