Default No homing FM emitter for Olympus base in mission 5

In mission 5, the Olympus base (final destination of the mission) is not emitting at FM 44.00 MHz for Homing navigation, as it should according to the briefing ...

It's not impossible to find the base though, but more difficult : you have to rely on the guidance of the copilot, which is more approximate, and open your eyes big.
Cheers

Hey, is this a known thing ?

I think instead of Hornets there are A-10s with Hornet payloads.... like A-10s with Sparrows

Hi Thomas

Could you tell us your solution?
It might help others to succeed.

Thanks.

Mission 13 : attention spoilers

I was able to accomplish this mission, but I went through some complications, and the scripts were all messed up.

1) Before the attack, the 4 red and white trucks kept losing themselves: the pathfinding often made them leave the road, though they never got completely stuck. Nothing serious here.

2) Right after the ambush, an enemy vehicle next to the bridge exploded, and our convoy made a U-turn and followed the alternate route. I was asked to clean the area, but I just couldn't find any other enemies around, so I escorted the moving convoy.

3) We all reached the FARP, but nothing happened. I then used the radio command to know what to do: I had to "clear the area".

I got back next to the (intact) bridge, and told my gunners to fire at will. They found the bad guys (who weren't shooting at all) and we pinned them down. I then followed the enemy blue truck. Bad luck: just when I got a message telling me to fire next to it, I realized I had lost sight of it. I flew over all the crossroads in the area, and eventually found the truck 5 minutes later: it had stopped in the grass. I shot next to it several times, "in order to stop him" said the Major (even though the truck had already stopped), then I was asked to land.

4) Just when we arrested the guy, I was asked to fly over the trucks for damage assessments. I went back to the FARP, flew over the convoy and nothing happened.

I then went back to the bridge, where the convoy was ambushed, and only then I was told "the convoy has to turn back and follow the alternate road".

In the same second, I was told "the convoy reached its destination".

5) As I was approchaing the FARP, I got that last message from Snake1 "we keep on moving".

Mission 15: attention spoilers

I had to replay the mission 10 times or so, because of the infamous "rubber" roof. In 2 of these 10 tries, the Apache didn't do their initial job: I waited more than 5 minutes flying in circles, then went into town and let my gunners shoot at the unharmed enemy vehicles.

About the "rubber" roof, I'm not sure rubber was the problem for me: I was just having a hard time hovering in the area (I was often killed by vortex while trying to land).

Mission 10 also requires some attention:

Landing zone at Batumi. Not to mention that it super dark. I had to re adjust my landing several times until I was super close to the fuel truck.

At the Turkish town, after the ambush, although I was already landed I got the message to land and wait for the Seals to get onboard. I tried lifting off and landing again couple of times, but to no avail.. Took off, manually shot at some of the invincible terrorist, landed back and then it worked.

Landing "next" to the chopper was also a miss the first time.

I have a stream of the mission if needed

Mission 14 seems to be bugged.... no matter how close I land to the Mi-8 the mission will not continue.....

The only time I got it to continue was on my first attempt when I tried to land sideways in front of the Mi-8 and I broke my rotor off the ground.... and only like some fast forwarding in time.

Don't know what the issue is ? Could it be that DCS thought the helicopter was not fully landed ?

I think I might have found what the issue is.... You have to have your collective set to 0 ?

I never dropped it all the way from fear that the helicopter will slide off.... but I guess you have to for the trigger to work

That's how I did it, yes. Collective to zero. You have to find the right position, and it's the toughest thing to do in this mission, actually. No need to be stuck too close to the Mi-8.
