I pre-ordered the A-10C way back when and never got a code for NTTR.

Am I supposed to do something else to get a code?

Best to open a support ticket on the website, they can help you out. Include your A-10 Serial number so they can check the purchase of your module.

Thanks...

IS that going to be a month or more like a week or 2

It depends on how smooth the release goes. What bugs come up, etc. I hope it wont be too long, but a new map and new map integration could have unforeseen issues.

I wonder if the people moaning about price increases also moaned about the numerous sales that ED send our way so regularly?

I'd suggest the mention of the increase in prices is a normal sales strategy. Buy it now, buy it cheaper, prices will go up after the offer has ended! - It is what any salesman worth his commission would say.

Instead of complaining about the price rises, why not remember how hideously expensive the upgrade to 1.5 was, and how equally extortionate the upgrade to 2.0 will be. Oh wait, it was free!!!

As for bonuses, I too have rarely been able to make use of mine - but that's because, by choice, I buy every module in Beta, and pay in advance of the releases. Am I complaining? No, I know I could wait and get them cheaper later, I just want them as soon as I can get them.

You could always just fly Rise of Flight, IL2 BOS, or Falcon 4.0 if you feel that strongly about it!

Anyway, rant over, excellent news regarding the Alpha release. I can almost taste the sand!

I wouldn't worry about prices. The market will dictate what modules will sell for. If the price is too high...they won't sell. There are enough sales throughout the year.....I wouldn't panic.

The plan is end of November still. So depending on your outlook on life, and glass half full, half empty, you can interpret as you wish :)

Oh, probably on Monday, Nov 30 then, since then the long holiday weekend with time on our hands for exploring NTTR is over. :music_whistling:

(My glass is half empty when it comes to stuff I really want, but half full for the things I care less about... how's that?)

You are still comparing hardware to software.

ED could have taken the approach and made us all buy 2.0 version of the modules, instead they are offsetting the costs with increases that wont even effect us that own them already, as such new modules will be a little more... makes sense... How much was Call of Duty, the original one, how much is the newest one?

Not sure what you are upset about, you probably own most of the modules, x2 dont you?

Plus....When a sim competitor (need not mention his name) came out with their 10 version. The price went from $39 for the 9 version, to $80 for the 10 version and you lost several important features in the newer version. Plus, the upgrades were so minimal that you had to wonder where the price difference came from. I never made any sense from that.

If DCS want's to charge an extra $10 for their modules, I have absolutely no beef whatsoever. They aren't charging me for a whole new 2.0 version. I don't buy every module that comes out because I know I'll never fly them. The one's that I do purchase, I get plenty of use from.

Sorry I talked about price increase there guys. Had not read that far into thread.

I have to fly to Europe tomorrow evening, so I'll end up missing the release. Dang, it always seems DCS comes out with a new mod or update, while I'm out on travel.... :smilewink:
