I hit 185 fps in a new computer.

Too bad I have to give it to the customer next week... :)

ASRock X299 Creator

Intel i9-9940X @ 4GHz. 14 cores

Liquid cooling. (CPU 30°C at idle / 86°C running Passmark Max Heat test. No throttling noted. All cores ran at 100% throughout the test. CPU was pulling 360W at peak.)

64GB DDR4-4000 RAM (running at 2600 for stability.)

I loaded DCS for kicks and flew the Frogfoot in Caucasus with the default 'High' settings (1920x1080.) I was getting a steady 90-115 fps panning around and hit 185 when I looked up through the canopy at the sky.

This thing begs for a VR headset...

Awfully tough to go back to the 30 fps I'm getting on my laptop...

What graphics card do you have in your laptop?

I get 45 fps @ 1920x1080. But 2560x1440 looks so nice. That card isn't quite up to it with Medium graphics settings.

About 30 FPS is all I was getting on my last card which was a GTX 1050 in a laptop but I never played around with my Nvidia settings that much.

On this laptop with a GTX 1660ti I've messed around with the Nvidia settings a bit more. A couple of days ago I was getting 80 on carrier deck to 125 in the sky flying. Just changed the settings again after watching yet another youtube tutortial this time got pretty nice picture but fps dropped to 52 on the carrier deck and 82 or so while in the sky.

I'm no expert but I think that should be enough fps. I think this laptop has a native resolution same as yours 1920x1080 but haven't figured out how to check that in Nvidia. I couldn't find that option.
