I play in 4K on a 55 inch screen. Your 1080 ti will run 4k just fine. However, beware that you will be at a fairly significant disadvantage if you play MP and like Air to Air (esp. WVR). Those 4K pixels are tiny and visibility/spotting is really challenging compared to 1080p...though when in close, imagery is a bit more clear/crisp.

I use a 4k monitor but DCS resolution is set to 3840 X 1440. It runs okay at straight 4k but as was mentioned previously, spotting is easier on the lower resolution. I also have a 1080p screen attached to the same GPU, which is a standard GTX 1080. I don't see any problems with frame rates. When the new nVidia GPUs are released, I'm crossing over to VR. Also looking forward to the Vulkan API being introduced as I have a 12 core machine.

I think it's actually 1.7x more pixels, not 2.6x..

3840x1440 isn't really 4K yet.

you are right

Without the presets used, it's probably useless data. If you want to see the FPS comparison, you have to ask for the preset/settings as well. It can make a big difference.

I play on 3440x1440 on 100Hz with Gsync, my FPS goes from 40 (dense/populated area’s) to a solid 90 in most places on 1 Asus Strix GTX 1080i OC (Sli sadly isn’t supported in DCS)

I have the same graphic card.

I have about 100fps everywhere with drops to 50-60 in populated dense areas.

I think ill buy one of these monitors !

I am running an old i7-3770k PC overclocked to 4.5ghz, 24gb ddr3, EVGA GTX 1070 FTW on a 34" 3440x1440 monitor at high graphic preset. Haven't really checked the FPS since it's more than smooth enough for me with any module in DCS.
