That is a inherent problem from SAMs using Lead targeting as actually work all SAMs in DCS World, the Lead targeting not prevent the missile stuck the ground, only guide them forward the target to a preplaned collision / interception point. Has other modes as pursuit and HOJ mode, but not modelling (the best guide about them has SamSimulator with simulate Sa-2/Sa-3/Sa-4/Sa-5/Sa-8/ZSU-23-4 Systems).

Other point, the missile systems has not AI Skynet killer robots with super properties as show on Hollywood on movies, has only missiles with a flight envelopment with only follow orders (on command guided) and/or on board systems.

Tunguska has "HOJ" style guiding... sooo...


Also BEFORE players steered S-300, we need player controlled Kub, Buk SAMs. (and pls add Krug SAM ! !)

some ideas:

- different kinds of explosion effects would be great, also for the calibers and shot angle so it doesnt always just look like a bomb.
- riccochets when armor is not penetrated
- stabilized main gun on modern tanks.
- working rearming system
- infantry on trucks, disembarking attacking embarking kind of stuff

Does Combined arms allow you the control a pilot/player on the ground after he bails out of his aircraft ? If no I would like this added as a wish.

This would add a lot of depth to multiplayer SAR missions. We use a script that spawns an infantry unit right now but I'd love to actually run around with the ejected pilot and talk our rescue helos on.

Not bad, but a lone unarmed pilot has been none about a enemy patrol.
Some interesting Wishlist improvements can be:
- Get a sidearm (pistol and ammunition) to get some type of defence.
- sitting, standing, lying or kneeling position implement and to a pilot.
- walk, run and other functionality.
- Trowing your helmet.
- Some king of survival gear.+

The main problem has convert the pilot on some kind of FPS, but that is outside of DCS World simulations (aka build a infantry simulation).

Don't think you would need to go as far as a full FPS. Just run/walk/crouch/hide with the character as he is now. Perhaps some sort of basic ability for returning fire.
Ultimately once you engage in a firefight you have probably already lost your pilot anyways.
Be a nice way to view all the amazing scenery at ground level and the need to find your way to a friendly unit to end the mission (as an option) would create a great story.
Would be fun I think.
The biggest problem might be having enough enemy troops scattered over the map to evade and friendly troops to find.
And as Feefifofum says it would be awesome for SAR missions.
