Bmoney_83
Hello Gents, so, I've made a custom livery and it looks pretty sharp. I have dropped in the correct folder, and renamed everything as required. I created the mipmaps which seem to be correct. am able to load the name of the file I created in the game. But when I load it, its a pitch black skin, obviously not the one I created. has anyone experienced or seen this kind of issue before? I appreciate any and all help. heres screen shots of what it looks like, and another of what it should look like. https://www.dropbox.com/s/pzseubzb1ul8rj5/Screen_200222_222735.png?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/qwf7lhul3f55uu4/Screenshot%20%2832%29.png?dl=0 Edited February 23, 2020 by Bmoney_83
jocko417
If that’s ever happened to me it’s been because in merging/flattening the file to a single layer, not all the layers were the same size. Usually happens if you move a layer by mistake and it’s shifted outside the normal boundaries of the texture template/file.
Bmoney_83
Thanks Jocko. if I look at each layer in Gimp, the layer size is that yellow box that surrounds the items that are in/on that layer right? if I go through each layer the largest yellow box is the base layer which just slightly hangs over the actual image. if this is the problem, how can I resize the layers to match? Thanks in advance.
Bmoney_83
JOCKO!!!! It totally worked, I was able to resize the layers to all match and now I have my skins in game! Thanks so much. I very excited to see this, and the guys i fly with will be super excited that now we have all have matching squadron skins! jocko417
Glad to hear it! Sorry, my original post may have been a bit confusing. Layers can obviously be different (smaller) sizes in your template, they just can’t be bigger than, or outside the boundaries of the native resolution of the texture file, ie: can’t even have a file that’s 4096x4097... won’t work.
