SD-10 giving TWS lock indications

If i shot SD-10 from JF-17 using TWS mode and Hornet is the target, he even gets hard-lock missile warning. F-16 same issue. I try this with friends many times from 40 - 45 nm, so missile dont go pitbull. I dont try another missile.

yes that was a surprise from 3 days ago i did a training with some one for BVR and he keep asking do u launch in TWS cuz i know that u just launched SD-10 . maybe that is related to what WAGS said in mini F-16 update ( Corrected RWR power )

I have already reported this issue, But beta team is not getting on this case. I guess this has something to do with SD-10, And Eagle dynamic itself.

i dont know why this issue appeared but somehow the moment i launch in TWS F-16 got a msl warning

do you know rwr <-> radar tws interactions? it deals nothing with sd-10.

we haven't change any radar signal mail code for a long time, if now things changed, should be something changed by ED and not tell us. if only hornet/viper get such issue, while other module not, please report to ED to check viper/hornet.

regarding sd-10, all seeker issue is out of our control. Report to ED to fix the seeker. Like 120 can have 180 degree turn to track target.

but in your profile ( ED tester / ED moderator ) i think u will be effective more than us cuz i think ED dont hear us anymore

I'm afraid i have already reported this seeker problem on ED weapon's issue thread, But no one coming on this case to fix the issue.

It’s the radar signals which cause rwr screams.

Missile in mid-course will not trigger any rwr warning until seeker active in end game.

We checked radar code, test shoot in cycles of rws-> sam -> dtt -> stt and tws -> hpt -> dtt -> stt

radar signals are correctly sent in these submodes.

We are waiting for feed back from tester team, see what's happening in radar when shooting at all kinds of target.

Cause i have reported to ED but no update from ED very far, Also it is becoming annoying in tactical ground when you need precise engagements, you know what i mean on competitive ground (SATAL) I believe this issue must be resolved ASAP with quick fix or something cause it is major bug,

it's hornet and viper rwr issue. not sure whether ed fixed them or not

I did a lot of test with this tonight. It’s only F-18 and F-16. And they only pickup SD-10 as soon as it’s fired.

the rwr should produce warnings when it detects emr - it should produce a tone if it's tracked using tws (e.g. square or sine-ish waveform), a tracking warning if the aircraft is continuously illuminated, a missile launch if it picks up the radar signalling to an amraam datalink etc

Yes but you can’t pickup a missile fired in TWS until the last 10nm or so when the missile starts emitting it’s own pulse. But in this case the F-18 and F-16 You get a missile launch warning as soon as it has been fired even tho it’s 60nm away, but ONLY for the SD-10 so they can start defending 60miles away. I did a lot of testing and it always picked up a SD-10 launch up to 59nm away. Which is just completely wrong. But it is really really weird that this is a precise bug that only affects F-18 and F-16. No other aircraft pick it up until Pitbull which is about 10nm away. If it was RWR issue then they would pickup all missiles as soon as launched but they don’t only SD-10, if it was SD-10 bug then ALL aircraft would pickup SD-10 as soon as it has been launched but no other aircraft does. If this was the other way around ED would have had a hotfix our the next day.

What gets me is only just hearing this after the current patch being live for a long time. Who knows when this behavior started, maybe online people have just thought there were stealth Jeff’s firing really close. But no we heard this from PTF, a squadron that operates many types including JF-17 together.

I am glad I have not spent so much time online the past few months, but if I had I would really Be wondering about the honor of some of my opppments, if they were aware they could know every TWS launch.

Ali has been letting us know for a while but I almost didn’t think it could happen, that someone would tell us and not just be omnipotent during BVR
