Greetings. Thought I would have better luck using Uboats Mizedit however I dont see the ability to change Factions on an already saved mission. Does anyone know if this is possible ? Text editor find and replace in Notepadd++

Wanted to swap out US for Russia and vice versa. Wondering if there is an easy way to do this or not. Understand unit availability isnt there to support all swaps. but if im flying as RED friendly, want to make Red blue etc.

Any help would be appreciated ? Thanks

MizEdit is a tool for translating missions from one language onto another. It doesnt do the type of change that you want.

Yes, you must use the Coalition Utility Mod:

Could you save the entire map as a Template, and start a new mission with the Coalition you would life? Then import?

It is not the same, as templates don’t include zones, triggers, weather, nor briefing text or kneeboards. The Mod is better.

You are correct ... for some reason the thread has dissapeared :(

I could share a copy of the Mod, as I still use it ocasionally, but I don't have permission of their authors to do so ... so, instead, please contact users @Grimes or @Uboats and ask them if they can provide a new download link.

Uboats appears to have deleted it for unknown reasons. I remade the thread:

 Thanks a lot for mantaining this useful tool. I don’t use it very often (as I give considerable tought to the Coalition definition when starting to edit a new mission) so I’ve it on OvGME to be able to enable it quickly when needed.

I used it recently when converting my F/A-18 missions for use with the JF-17, and found that I didn’t have Pakistan on the Coalition :)

Best regards
