Can you get EVGA PrecisionX to save a Profile? I cannot.

ATi - simplicity

Nvidia = a lot of settings that still do not produce results as good as ATI.

Good luck with your card. It is good to see this thread back on topic.

It saved mine with no problems. I have it set to increase my fan as the temp rises. It also shows the temp in the task bar.

Cheers guys, will install it later today, no idea of frame rate, but running at 5760 x 1080 at max on everything, very smoothly, and that's before I upgrade the chip and motherboard. :) can't wait to get the full build done.

I can't believe it! Now I have to replay all the games, just to see how awesome they look with the new card! :furious:

:smilewink:

Going from a 8800GT to a 670 was a huge improvement, also from a e6600 2.4 to i5 3.3 was good too, can't forget the SSD. :D

Cali, I know just how you feel. Talk about a jump in improvement. I went from this, a Gateway 840 GM (specs here). Although I did improve it with more ram and an ASUS 8800GT. I built the one in my sig 18 months ago and I ended up with the EVGA GTX570. This setup scream's @ 4.5 Ghz. At the time the card was best bang for the buck. But may upgrade soon for more vram. And that 670 seems the way to go.

BUGGER, guess that's what we get for jumping the gun.

Ah well, the cards bloody worth it, never seen DCS looking so good. Quick question though, what's the highest res you can get? Mine is only going to 5070 x 1050 instead of 5870 x 1080

It shows the monitors at 1920 x 1080 in normal mode, but it won't give me full res in surround.

Currently using dvi, dvi, displayport to VGA adapter. Did try changing the displayport to using a hdmi cable, but then it started running very unstable, if I ran games at 1920 x 1080 it would crash the pc rather than just switch to using one monitor as per the displayport VGA adapter.

So living with the lower res at the moment.

Ah fair enough, like yourself single monitor works a treat, it's just surround it dosnt seem to want to give me full res, not a major issue, to be honest, even at 5070 x 1050 the graphics are stunning, just that feeling that you're not getting everything your machine is capable off. Hopefully nvidia forums will be up again soon and I can find a solution. Can't recommend this card enough and now it's at least £50 cheaper it's even better value. ( well for this week only ;) )
