Chizh vigorously denied that the Flanker can be done by ED last month on the Russian forum, telling it was still classified. So I guess the answer would be "no". But Nineline told on hoggit that this only applied specifically to the Su-27, so if there is a hope for a 4th gen Russian fighter, early versions of MiG-29 are the most probable (but still not so much realistic) bet.

Correction: Sith/Nineline said he assumed Chizh was speaking about the Su-27 specifically. It was not an official statement saying it was only about the Su-27.

However, reading what Chizh wrote, I figured it was pretty clear he was being more generic about Rusfor aircraft in general.

Better to assume they can't do it and be pleasantly surprised if they can, than to get people's hopes and expectations up with guesses and rumors.

That's really sad, but I didn't really expect my dream to come true, not this time. Ok, will have to wait till (and if) some 3rd party finally rolls out some Russian modern stuff 5 years from now. Heartbreaking for me, but nothing can be done about this.

He also spoke quite a lot about MiG-29 in the same video! There is still hope ????

I wouldn't get hopes up. But, we ARE getting a Hind. And the coolest variant, IMO.

Reformers hate him! This one weird trick found by a bush pilot will make gunfighter obsessed old farts angry at your multi-role carrier deck line up!

You guys really shouldnt jump to conclusions this quickly.

From the comments of that video

Yeah, it's nice. I wonder if it is in fact the one "eagerly awaited".

I am all in for MiG-29, but Apache... oh well probably at some point I would buy as well, like I did with Ka-50 not so long ago.

"And you know someday, I am not saying it will happen, but if we have large, you know, office outside Russia for engineering, maybe it is possibility then. But as long our principle the development studio is in Russia, doing a modern day Russian aircraft is not possible for us".

Would a opening of such a studio outside Russia be a "brain-melting" for us, that would allow ED to open such possibilities for future module development?

Good luck to find a binding methods for THAT thing for a gunner....

Maybe those who have a three joysticks become happy, having two "space-sticks" combination tightly closely together for gunner use, and then one center mounted as cyclic for both.

I would use my VR hand controller(s) for everything i have not mapped to my HOTAS like i do in every module.

Also you can use your VR hand controller already in some modules to fly them(grab and use stick/throttle), so it could be the perfect VR module.

Modules: KA-50, A-10C, FC3, UH-1H, MI-8MTV2, CA, MIG-21bis, FW-190D9, Bf-109K4, F-86F, MIG-15bis, M-2000C, SA342 Gazelle, AJS-37 Viggen, F/A-18C, F-14, C-101, FW-190A8, F-16C, F-5E, JF-17, SC, Mi-24P Hind, AH-64D Apache, Mirage F1, F-4E Phantom II

System: Win 11 Pro 64bit, Ryzen 3800X, 32gb RAM DDR4-3200, PowerColor Radeon RX 6900XT Red Devil ,1 x Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 2TB NVMe, 2 x Samsung SSD 2TB + 1TB SATA, MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals - VIRPIL T-50CM and VIRPIL MongoosT-50 Throttle - HP Reverg G2, using only the latest Open Beta, DCS settings

As per the timeline and realistic expectations:

F-15E and Mig 23 so far...

F-4 Phantom is the aircraft that I truly want to see fastracked. But for some reason, it has been extended around 2022.

So, it seems we have a loooong waiting time...

Also others are also wanting Civilian or Logistic, Cargo, AWACS centered planes between all these current awaited planes that obviously takes more than 3 years.

Looks like we'll be seeing new stuff maybe around LATE 2020.

Saab Gripen would be nice.

A Gripen would be nice but it is also very unlikely since it is a fairly new jet with classified systems that is still being produced and exported to other countries.

Brazil is set to start production of them soon.
